Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengenai hubungan pemahaman konsep dengan kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 2 Way Huwi, terdapat permasalahan terutama pada tingkat pemahaman peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan masalah soal cerita pada materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan. Bahkan, ketika peserta didik belajar matematika, mereka masih kesulitan memecahkan masalah yang disajikan oleh guru mereka. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan yang positif antara pemahaman konsep dengan kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang peneliti lakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kunatitatif korelasional. Penelitian korelasi adalah suatu penelitian yang melibatkan tindakan pengumpulan data guna menentukan, apakah ada hubungan dan tingkat hubungan antara dua variabel atau lebih. Dari hasil penelitian yang ada menunjukkan bahwa hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara pemahaman konsep dengan kemampuan representasi matematis kelas V SD Negeri 2 Way Huwi Lampung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 dengan indeks korelasi sebesar rhitung 0,981. Jika diinterpretasikan pada tabel skala penafsiran koefisien korelasi, maka tingkat hubungan pemahaman konsep dengan kemampuan representasi matematis kelas V SD Negeri 2 Way Huwi sangat tinggi.. Hasil analisi data ditunjukkan berdasarkan hasil dari uji-t pada SPSS diperoleh nilai Sig (2-Tailed) sebesar 0,000 dangan kriteria signifikansi 0,05. Dilihat dari perolehan hasil uji-t yaitu 0,000 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian maka hasil uji-t menyatakan bahwa adanya hubungan pemahaman konsep dengan kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 2 Way Huwi Lampung Selatan. Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Konsep, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis ABSTRACT This research is about the relationship between understanding concepts and the mathematical representation abilities of class V students at SD Negeri 2 Way Huwi. There are problems, especially at the level of students' understanding in solving word problems on the material of adding and subtracting fractions. In fact, when students learn mathematics, they still have difficulty solving problems presented by their teachers. The aim to be achieved in this research is to determine whether there is a positive relationship between understanding concepts and students' mathematical representation abilities. The type of research that the researcher carried out in this research was correlational quantitative research. Correlation research is research that involves the act of collecting data to determine whether there is a relationship and the level of relationship between two or more variables. The results of existing research show that there is a significant and positive relationship between conceptual understanding and mathematical representation ability for class V of SD Negeri 2 Way Huwi, South Lampung, academic year 2023/2024 with a correlation index of rcount of 0.981. If interpreted in the correlation coefficient interpretation scale table, then the level of relationship between concept understanding and mathematical representation ability for class V of SD Negeri 2 Way Huwi is very high. The results of data analysis are shown based on the results of the t-test in SPSS to obtain a Sig (2-Tailed) value of 0.000 with a significance criterion of 0.05. Judging from the t-test results obtained, namely 0.000 0.05, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, the results of the t-test state that there is a relationship between conceptual understanding and the mathematical representation ability of class V students at SD Negeri 2 Way Huwi, South Lampung.
