Abstract

ABSTRAK Pada sistem pembelajaran abad 21 terdapat kompetensi belajar yang harus dikuasai yakni kemampuan pemahaman yang tinggi, kemampuan berpikir kritis, kemampuan berkolaborasi dan keterampilan berkomunikasi. Pada penelitian ini hanya berfokus pada keterampilan komunikasi. Pada hasil pra penelitian ditemukan bahwa peserta didik kurang memperhatikan materi, kurang mampu untuk menyampaikan gagasan, cenderung pendiam dan kurang percaya diri karena berperasaan malu dan takut salah serta enggan bertanya pada hal-hal yang belum dipahami, dan guru belum sepenuhnya memberikan kesempatan dalam mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining terhadap keterampilan komunikasi pada pembelajaran IPS kelas VI di MIS Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif metode eksperimen jenis Quasi Eksperimental dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi berjumlah 54 peserta didik yang berasal dari kelas VIA berjumlah 27 peserta didik dan VIB berjumlah 27 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIA sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VI B sebagai kelas eksperimen..Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan tes unjuk kerja. Instrumen lembar tes unjuk kerja dihitung dengan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Sebelum dilakukan uji t, data diuji prasyarat analisisnya terlebih dahulu dengan uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Kemudian dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t Independent Sample T-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pengolahan data menggunakan uji t Independent Sample T-test, dan diperoleh nilai Sig (2-Tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang memiliki nilai lebih kecil dari nilai kriteria  = 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak yang berarti terdapat perbedaan antara keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik yang menggunakan model Student Facilitator and Explaining dengan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. This research aims to determine the effect of the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model on communication skills in class VI social studies learning at MIS Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. This research uses a quantitative approach, a Quasi Experimental type of experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The population is 54 students, 27 students from class VIA and 27 students from VIB. The sampling technique uses a saturated sampling technique. The sample for this research was class VIA as the control class and class VI B as the experimental class. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and performance tests. The performance test sheet instrument is calculated using validity and reliability tests. Before carrying out the t test, the data was tested for analysis prerequisites first with normality and homogeneity tests. Then a hypothesis test was carried out using the Independent Sample T-test t test. Based on the results of data processing analysis using the Independent Sample T-test, and obtained a Sig (2-Tailed) value of 0.000 which has a value smaller than the criterion value  = 0.05, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, which means there is a difference between skills. student communication using the Student Facilitator and Explaining model with the communication skills of students using the direct learning model.
