Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan koneksi dan representasi matematis merupakan suatu kemampuan yang harus dikuasi peserta didik guna menunjang proses belajar. Berdasarkan data hasil pra penelitian kemampuan koneksi dan representasi matematis kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Martapura. Peserta didik memperoleh nilai dibawah KKM dengan sebanyak 133 dan 135 peserta didik. Peneliti tertarik untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi dan representasi matematis ditinjau dari self confidence peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model CMP (Connected Mathematics Project) terhadap kemampuan koneksi dan representasi matematis ditinjau dari self confidence peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi eksperimen design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Martapura, Teknik pengambilan sampel yang diterapkan adalah cluster random sampling. Sampel yang diperoleh yaitu kelas VIII 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran CMP, kelas VIII 6 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menerapkan model Discovery Learning. Analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan MANCOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Covariance), dengan taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh (1) p-value = 0,353 > α = 0,05 sehingga diterima dengan demikian dapat diambil kesimpulan Tidak Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran CMP (Connected Mathematics Project) terhadap kemampuan koneksi dan representasi matematis ditinjau dari self confidence peserta didik. (2) p-value = 0,583 > α = 0,05 sehingga diterima dengan kesimpulan tidak terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran CMP terhadap kemampuan koneksi dan representasi matematis. (3) p-value = 0,016 < α = 0,05 sehingga ditolak dengan kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh variabel kovariat self confidence terhadap kemampuan koneksi dan representasi matematis. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran CMP, Kemampuan koneksi, Kemampuan Representasi, dan Self Confidence. ABSTRACT The ability to connect and represent mathematically is an ability that students must master to support the learning process. Based on data from pre-research on the connection and mathematical representation abilities of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Martapura. Students obtained scores below the KKM with as many as 133 and 135 students. Researchers are interested in implementing a learning model that can improve mathematical connection and representation abilities in terms of students' self-confidence. This research aims to determine the effect of the CMP (Connected Mathematics Project) model on mathematical connection and representation abilities in terms of students' self-confidence. This type of research uses a quasi experimental design. The population in this study was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Martapura. The sampling technique applied was cluster random sampling. The samples obtained were class VIII 5 as an experimental class by applying the CMP learning model, class VIII 6 as a control class by applying the Discovery Learning model. The analysis used in this research is MANCOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Covariance), with a significance level of 5% obtained (1) p-value = 0.353 > α = 0.05 so that H_0A is accepted, thus it can be concluded that there is no influence of the learning model CMP (Connected Mathematics Project) on mathematical connection and representation abilities in terms of students' self-confidence. (2) p-value = 0.583 > α = 0.05 so that H_0B is accepted with the conclusion that there is no influence of the CMP learning model on mathematical connection and representation abilities. (3) p-value = 0.016 < α = 0.05 so that H_0c is rejected with the conclusion that there is an influence of the self�confidence covariate variable on the ability to connect and mathematical representation.
