Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh model pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh pendidik belum mendapatkan hasil belajar peserta didik yang diharapkan, hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) dinilai masih cukup rendah, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menegetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Word Square terhadap hasil belajar IPS peserta didik kelas V . Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Purwodadi Simpang Lampung Selatan dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dan menggunakan pendekatan Quasy Eksperiment. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Jenis sample yang digunakan dalam, penelitian ini adalah Simple Random Sampling (sample acak). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang peneliti lakukan dengan pengolahan data Uji Hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji Independent Sample T-Test untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara nilai posttest kelas eksperimen dan posttest kelas kontrol diperoleh dengan sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang artinya nilai 0,000 < 0,05. Dimana pada kelas eksperimen nilai rata- rata pretest dan posttest sebesar 75,89 dan pada kelas kontrol memiliki rata- rata nilai pretest dan posttest sebesar 54,64. Artinya jika dilakukan suatu perbandingan antara pretest dan posttest dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol maka terdapat selisih nilai yang cukupukup signifikan, dimana pada kelas eksperimen lebih unggul yang menggunakan dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Scramble. Maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1diterima, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh dari penggunaan model pembelajaran Word Square terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri Purwodadi Simpang Lampung Selatan. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Word Square, Hasil Belajar. iii ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the learning model applied by educators not getting the expected student learning outcomes, learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects are considered to be still quite low, the aim of this research is to find out the influence of the Word Square learning model on results. learning social studies for class V students. This research was carried out at the Purwodadi Simpang Lampung Selatan Public Elementary School with a quantitative research type and used a quasi-experimental approach. The data collection techniques used in this research are tests, interviews, observation and documentation. The type of sample used in this research is Simple Random Sampling (random sample). Based on the results of research conducted by researchers by processing Hypothesis Test data using the Independent Sample T-Test to determine the difference between the posttest scores for the experimental class and the posttest for the control class, it was obtained with a sig. (2- tailed) of 0.000, which means a value of 0.000 < 0.05 . Where in the experimental class the average pretest and posttest score was 75.89 and in the control class the average pretest and posttest score was 54.64. This means that if a comparison is made between the pretest and posttest from the experimental class and the control class, there is a quite significant difference in scores, where the experimental class is superior compared to the control class which uses the Scramble learning model. So it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an influence from the use of the Word Square learning model on the Social Sciences Learning Outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri Purwodadi Simpang Lampung Selatan.
