Abstract

ABSTRAK Permasalahan awal yang ditemukan ketika prapenelitian di SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung adalah Guru PAI menampilkan kompetensi kepribadian dengan cukup baik, bahkan menjadi salah satu guru favorit atau teladan lantaran selalu bersikap ramah, tidak suka marah, baik, perhatian, suka menasehati, dan taat beribadah. Meskipun Guru PAI telah memberikan teladan kepribadian yang baik, akan tetapi masih terdapat berbagai pelanggaran karakter religius oleh peserta didik seperti tidak ikut berdoa, masuk dan keluar kelas tanpa mengucap salam, berkata kotor ketika bercanda dengan teman sebayanya, makan dan minum berdiri, dan tidak mengikuti sholat dzuhur berjamaah. Dari fakta-fakta di lapangan yang telah di kemukakan di atas, mengindikasikan adanya ketidak maksimalan hasil dari pada pembinaan karakter religius peserta didik. Penelitian ini hendak mengungkapkan bagaimana implementasi kompetensi kepribadian guru PAI dalam pembinaan karakter religius peserta didik di SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: Bagaimana kompetensi kepribadian guru PAI di SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung; Bagaimana karakter religius peserta didik di SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung; Bagaimana upaya guru PAI dalam membina karakter religius peserta didik di SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung; Apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat pembinaan karakter religius peserta didik di SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif lapangan (field research). Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk menentukan informan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini ialah reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Untuk uji iv keabsahan data, peneliti menggunakan triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik, dan triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi kepribadian guru PAI sudah cukup memadai, kepribadian yang ditampilkan oleh guru PAI yaitu: Bertindak sesuai dengan norma agama, hukum, sosial, dan kebudayaan nasional Indonesia; Menampilkan diri sebagai pribadi yang jujur, berakhlak mulia, dan teladan bagi peserta didik dan masyarakat; Menampilkan diri sebagai pribadi yang mantap, stabil, dewasa, arif, dan berwibawa; Menunjukkan etos kerja, tanggung jawab yang tinggi, rasa bangga menjadi guru, dan rasa percaya diri; dan Menjunjung tinggi kode etik profesi guru. Karakter religius peserta didik cenderung berbeda-beda, karakter religius yang sudah mulai terbentuk adalah peserta didik sudah menerapkan senyum, sapa dan salam, peserta didik sudah terbiasa berdoa sesudah dan sebelum belajar, melaksanakan sholat berjamaah dengan tertib, namun dalam kesadaran untuk mengerjakan sholat dhuha masih kurang. Sikap sopan santun peserta didik mulai menampilkan adanya perkembangan ke arah yang lebih baik. Pembinaan karakter religius peserta didik dilakukan dengan tiga metode yaitu keteladan; pembiasaan program keagamaan; dan nasihat motivasi. Dalam pelaksanaannya terdapat faktor pendukung maupun penghambat yang turut memengaruhi karakter religius peserta didik. Faktor pendukung meliputi dukungan dari orangtua, kepala sekolah dan warga sekolah lainnya, fasilitas yang memadai serta guru sebagai uswatun hasanah. Sedangkan faktor penghambat dalam pembinaan karakter religius peserta didik yaitu kurangnya kesadaran dari peserta didik, latar belakang peserta didik yang berbeda-beda serta masih adanya oknum guru yang menyuguhkan perilaku kurang baik. Kata Kunci: Kompetensi Kepribadian Guru , Karakter Religius. v ABSTRACT The initial problem discovered during pre-research at SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung was that PAI teachers displayed quite good personality competencies, even becoming one of the favorite teachers or role models because they were always friendly, did not like to get angry, were kind, caring, liked to advise, and were devout in worship. Even though PAI teachers have set good personality examples, there are still various violations of religious character by students such as not participating in prayer, entering and leaving class without saying hello, saying dirty words when joking with their peers, eating and drinking standing up, and not following midday prayer together. From the facts in the field that have been stated above, it indicates that there are not optimal results from developing students' religious character. This research aims to reveal how the implementation of PAI teacher personality competencies in developing the religious character of students at SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. The problem formulation in this research is: what is the personality competency of PAI teachers at SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung; what is the religious character of students at SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung; what are the efforts of PAI teachers in developing the religious character of students at SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung; what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in developing the religious character of students at SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. The type of research used by researchers in this research is descriptive qualitative field research (field research). This research uses techniques purposive sampling to determine informants. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. To test the validity of the data, researchers used source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. vi The results of the research show that the personality competence of PAI teachers is sufficient, the personality displayed by PAI teachers is: Acting in accordance with Indonesian religious, legal, social and national cultural norms; Present oneself as a person who is honest, has noble character, and is an example for students and society; Present yourself as a steady, stable, mature, wise and authoritative person; Demonstrate work ethic, high responsibility, pride in being a teacher, and self-confidence; and Upholding the teacher professional code of ethics. The religious character of students tends to be different, the religious character that has begun to form is that students already use smiles, greetings and greetings, students are used to praying after and before studying, carrying out congregational prayers in an orderly manner, but are still aware of performing Duha prayers. not enough. Students' polite attitudes are starting to show development in a better direction. The development of students' religious character is carried out using three methods, namely example; familiarization with religious programs; and motivational advice. In its implementation, there are supporting and inhibiting factors that also influence the religious character of students. Supporting factors include support from parents, principals and other school residents, adequate facilities and teachers as teachersuswatun hasanah. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors in developing students' religious character are the lack of awareness of students, the students' different backgrounds and the existence of unscrupulous teachers who display bad behavior.
