Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan penalaran dan representasi matematis merupakan kemampuan yang perlu untuk dikuasai oleh peserta didik. Hasil pra penelitian kemampuan penalaran dan representasi peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 3 Way Pengubuan menunjukkan bahwa masih ada peserta didik yang mendapat nilai dibawah KKM. Hal ini disebabkan karena peserta didik kurang yakin akan kemampuan yang dimiliki sehingga membuat peserta didik cenderung pasif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. hal tersebut mengakibatkan peserta didik kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu melihat adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan representasi matematis di tinjau dai self efficacy. Jenis penelitian Quasy Eksperinmental Design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Way Pengubuan dengan populasi berjumlah 8 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian terdiri dari kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas VIII B dan kelas kontrol yaitu kelas VIII F. Kelas eksperimen dengan menerapkan model MMP sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model Direct Intruction. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, angket dan observasi. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji MANCOVA satu arah dengan taraf signifikasi 5% diperoleh (1) artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran MMP terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan representasi matematis ditinjau dari self efficacy peserta didik. (2) artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran MMP terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan representasi matematis. (3) artinya terdapat pengaruh variabel kovariat (self efficacy) terhadap kemampuan penalaran Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Penalaran, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis, Model MMP dan Self Efficacy iv ABSTRACT Mathematical reasoning and representation abilities are abilities that need to be mastered by students. The results of preresearch on the reasoning and representation abilities of class VII students at SMP Negeri 3 Way Pengubuan show that there are still students who get scores below the KKM. This is because students are less confident in their abilities, which makes students tend to be passive in learning activities. This results in students having difficulty solving mathematics problems. The aim of this research is to see the influence of the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model on mathematical reasoning and representation abilities in terms of self efficacy. This type of research is Quasy Experimental Design. The subjects in this research were class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Way Pengubuan with a population of 8 classes. The sample in the research consisted of the experimental class, namely class VIII B and the control class, namely class VIII F. The experimental class applied the MMP model while the control class used the Direct Instruction model. Data collection techniques include tests, questionnaires and observations. Hypothesis testing in this study used a one-way MANCOVA test with a significance level of 5% obtained (1) meaning that there is an influence of the MMP learning model on mathematical reasoning and representation abilities in terms of students' self efficacy. (2) meaning that there is an influence of the MMP learning model on mathematical reasoning and representation abilities. (3) meaning that there is an influence of the covariate variable (self efficacy) on reasoning ability Keyword: Reasoning Ability, Mathematics Representation Ability, MMP Model and Self Efficacy
