Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik. Berdasarkan pada hasil pra penelitian kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik masih tergolong rendah, peserta didik memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM memiliki presentase 84%, sedangkan siswa yang memenuhi KKM hanya ada 16%. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik dengan mengontrol disposisi matematis. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi experimental Design dengan populasi seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Mesuji. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis , angket disposisi matematis dan dokumentasi. Pengujian hipotesis pada penelitian ini menggunakan One-Way Ancova taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SMART berbantuan teknik Scaffolding terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik dengan mengontrol disposisi matematis, terdapat pengaruh variabel kovariat disposisi matematis terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik diperkuat dengan semakin tinggi disposisi matematis maka semakin tinggi pemahaman konsep matematis, dan terdapat pengaruh secara simultan model pembelajaran SMART berbantuan teknik Scaffolding dengan mengontrol Disposisi Matematis terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik. Kata Kunci : SMART, Scaffolding, Disposisi Matematis dan Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep. iv ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts. Based on pre-research results, students' ability to understand mathematical concepts is still relatively low, with a percentage of 84% of students scoring below the KKM, while only 16% of students meet the KKM. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the learning model applied in the experimental and control classes on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts by controlling mathematical dispositions. The method in this research is quantitative with a Quasi experimental design type of research with a population of all class VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Mesuji. This research uses the Cluster random sampling technique. Data collection techniques use mathematical concept understanding ability tests, mathematical disposition questionnaires and documentation. Hypothesis testing in this study used One-Way Ancova with a significance level of 5%. The research results show that there is an influence of the SMART learning model assisted by the Scaffolding technique on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts by controlling mathematical disposition, there is an influence of the mathematical disposition covariate variable on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts, strengthened by the higher the mathematical disposition, the higher the understanding of mathematical concepts, and there is a simultaneous influence of the SMART learning model assisted by the Scaffolding technique by controlling Mathematical Disposition on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts.
