Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGEMBANGAN MODUL BERBASIS STEM PADA MATERI CAHAYA DAN ALAT OPTIK KELAS VIII DI SMP NEGERI 1 PALAS Oleh Septiya Angelina Ghandi Penelitian dan pengembangan modul dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Kelayakan pada modul berbasis STEM pada materi cahaya dan alat optik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Palas, 2) Respon peserta didik terhadap modul berbasis STEM pada materi cahaya dan alat optik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Palas. Adapun metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini yang menggunakan metode pengembangan R&D (Research and Development). Pengembangan modul ini dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang memiliki 10 tahapan dan yang digunakan hanya sampai 7 tahapan saja yaitu: 1) Potensi dan Masalah, 2) Mengumpulkan Data, 3) Desain Produk, 4) Validasi Desain, 5) Revisi Desain, 6) Uji Coba Produk, 7) Revisi Produk. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa wawancara pendidik, observasi, angket serta soal. Hasil dari penilaian angket kelayakan dosen ahli media mendapatakan skor penilaian presentase sebesar 94 % dengan kategori sangat layak. Kemudian penilaian skor dari dosen ahli materi mendapatkan presentase sebesar 80% dengan kategori sangat layak. Sedangkan tahap penilaian dari dosen ahli bahasa mendapatkan skor 77% dengan kategori layak. Hasil dari penilian angket respon peserta didik dari hasil uji skala kecil mendapatkan presentase sebesar 81,4% dengan kategori ‖Sangat Menarik‖. Sedangkan hasil penilaian angket respon peserta didik dengan uji coba skala besar mendapatkan persentase sebesar 80% dengan kategori ― Sangat Menarik‖. Dan penilaian angket respon dari pendidik mendapatkan hasil sebesar 95% dengan kategori ―Sangat Menarik‖ Kata kunci: Modul, STEM, Materi Cahaya dan Alat Optik iv ABSTRACT DEVELOPMENT OF STEM-BASED MODULES ON LIGHT AND OPTICAL DEVICE CLASS VIII AT SMP NEGERI 1 PALAS By Septiya Angelina Ghandi Module research and development was conducted to determine 1) The feasibility of STEM-based modules on light and optical devices in class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Palas, 2) Students' response to STEM�based modules on light and optical devices in classVIII at SMP Negeri 1 Palas. The research method in this study uses the R&D (Research and Development) development method. The development of this module uses the Borg and Gall development model which has 10 stages and is used only up to 7 stages, namely: 1) Potential and Problems, 2) Collecting Data, 3) Product Design, 4) Design Validation, 5) Design Revision, 6) Product Trial, 7) Product Revision. The instruments used in this study were educator interviews, observations, questionnaires and questions. The results of the feasibility questionnaire assessment of media expert lecturers got a percentage assessment score of 94% with a very feasible category. Then the assessment score from the material expert lecturer gets a percentage of 80% with a very feasible category. While the assessment stage of the linguist lecturer gets a score of 77% with a decent category. The results of the assessment of the learner response questionnaire from the results of the small scale test get a percentage of 81.4% with the category "Very Interesting". While the results of the assessment of the learner response questionnaire with a large-scale trial got a percentage of 80% with the category "Very Interesting".
