Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemahaman konsep belajar sangat diperlukan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Pemahaman konsep yang baik menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan materi berikutnya. Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian yang dilakukan permasalaha yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik disebabkan peserta kurang aktif dalam pembelajaran IPA. Oleh karena itu perlakuan tambahan model pembelajaran yang bervariasi sehingga peserta didik menjadi lebih aktif, motivasi dan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA. Hal itu dapat dilihat pada nilai yang diperoleh peserta didik kelas IV SDN 1 Krui pada pra penelitian dengan presentasi sebesar 45% untuk peserta didik yang mendapatkan nilai di atas KKM dan 65% peserta didik mendapatkan nilai dibawah KKM. Oleh karena itu peneliti melakukan penelitian menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learing. Rumusan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Apakah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA pada peserta didik kelas IV SDN 1 Krui. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pengajaran discovery learning terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA pada peserta didik kelas IV SDN 1 Krui". Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Eksperimentas dengan TheNonequivalent Pretest-Posttest. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas IV SDN 1Krui tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas taitu kelas A dan Kelas B. Sebagian kelas eksperimen kelas IV A dan kelas kontol kelas IV B. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes pemahaman konsep IPA berupa soal 20 essay. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Independent Samples Test . Berdasarkan pengolahan data hasil analisis uji normalitas dan homogenitas diperoleh bahwa kedua kelas sampel tersebut normal dan homogen sehingga untuk pengejuian hipotesis menggunakan Independent Samples Test (uji- t) dengan taraf signitifikan 5% (0,05) yakni diperoleh 0,000<0,05 yang menyatakan Ho = ditolak dan Ha = diterima sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep IPA Pada Peserta Didik Kelas IV SDN 1 Krui Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning, Pemahaman Konsep, IPA. iii ABSTRACT The ability to understand the concept of learning is very necessary in learning science. A good understanding of the concept becomes the basis for the development of the next material. Based on the results of the pre�research conducted, the problem underlying this research is that students' understanding of science concepts is still low because the participants are less active in learning science. Therefore the additional treatment of learning models varies so that students become more active, motivated and can improve students' understanding of concepts in science learning. This can be seen in the scores obtained by class IV students at SDN 1 Krui in the pre�research with a presentation of 45% for students who scored above the KKM and 65% of students scored below the KKM. Therefore researchers conducted research using the Discovery Learning learning model. The formulation in this study is whether there is an influence of the Discovery Learning learning model on understanding the concept of science in class IV students at SDN 1 Krui. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the discovery learning teaching model on understanding the concept of science in fourth grade students at SDN 1 Krui". This research is a quantitative research with experimental research methods. The research design uses Quasi Experiments with The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest. The population of this research is all class IV of SDN 1Krui for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sampling technique in this study used two classes, namely class A and class B. Part of the experimental class was class IV A and class IV B. The data collection technique used was a test of understanding the concept of science in the form of 20 essay questions. Hypothesis testing using the Independent Samples Test. Based on the data processing of the results of the normality and homogeneity test analysis, it was found that the two sample classes were normal and homogeneous so that the hypothesis testing was done by using the Independent Samples Test (t-test) with a significant level of 5% (0.05), i.e. 0.000 <0.05 which stated Ho = rejected and Ha = accepted so that it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the Discovery Learning Learning Model on the Understanding of Science Concepts in Grade IV Students at SDN 1 Krui.
