Abstract

ABSTRAK Etnomedisin merupakan studi tentang presepsi dan konsepsi masyarakat lokal dalam memahami kesehatan atau ilmu yang mempelajari sistem medis etnis tradisional. Adapun tujuan dari Peneliti melakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis tumbuhan, cara mengolah, dan nilai nilai guna spesies “Spesies Use Value” (SUV) menggambarkan tingkat nilai guna spesies tanaman dalam mengobati suatu kategori penyakit di pekon Tegalsari, Kecamatan Gadingrejo, Kabupaten Pringsewu. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif bersifat deskriftif dengan pendekatan secara purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi (pengamatan) dan dokumentasi berupa vidio atau rekaman serta penelusuran referensi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa terdapat 15 jenis tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan sebagai obat tradisional di pekon Tegalsari kecamatan Gadingrejo. Sedangkan cara pengolahan tumbuhan obat tersebut yaitu dengan di rebus, di tumbuk, di remas dan di oles. Berdasarkan nilai kegunaan atau Species use values (SUV), tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan di pekon Tegalsari Kecamatan gadingrejo Nilai SUV tertinggi dimiliki oleh kunyit (Curcuma domestica) (0.13), diikuti oleh jahe (Zingiber officinale) (0.1). Kemudian lengkuas Alpinia galanga (L) Swartz (0.1), kencur (Kaemferia galanga L) (0.08), temulawak (Curcuma xanthoriza) (0.08), daun salam (Syzygium Polyanthum Wigh walp.) (0.08), belimbing wuluh (Averhoa bilimbi) (0.05), kumis kucing (Orthosiphon aristas) (0.05), daun sirih (Piper betle l) (0,05), lidah buaya (Aloe vera) (0.05), sambiloto (Andographis paniculata) (0.05), papaya (Carica papaya) (0.05), mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia) (0.05), ciplukan (Physalis angulate) (0.02), keji beling (Strobilanthes asscrences) (0.02). The purpose of the researchers conducting this research was to find out the types of plants, how to process them, and the value of species use value (SUV) to describe the level of use value of plant species in treating a category of disease in Tegalsari village, Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a purposive sampling approach. Methods of data collection are carried out by interviews, observations (observations) and documentation in the form of videos or recordings and reference searches. The results of this study indicate that there are 15 types of medicinal plants used as traditional medicine in Tegalsari Village, Gadingrejo District. While the way of processing these medicinal plants is by boiling, mashing, squeezing and rubbing. Based on the species use values (SUV), medicinal plants used in the Tegalsari pekon, Gadingrejo District, have the highest SUV value for turmeric (Curcuma domestica) (0.13), followed by ginger (Zingiber officinale) (0.1). Then galangal Alpinia galanga (L) Swartz (0.1), galangal (Kaemferia galanga L) (0.08), ginger (Curcuma xanthoriza) (0.08), bay leaf (Syzygium Polyanthum Wigh walp.) (0.08), starfruit (Averhoa bilimbi) (0.05), cat's whiskers (Orthosiphon aristas) (0.05), betel leaf (Piper betle l) (0.05), aloe vera (Aloe vera) (0.05), bitter (Andographis paniculata) (0.05), papaya (Carica papaya) (0.05), noni (Morinda citrifolia) (0.05), ciplukan (Physalis angulate) (0.02), keji beling (Strobilanthes asscrences) (0.02).
