Abstract

ABSTRAK Perilaku anak autis yang melakukan terapi Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Centre Lampung seperti sering berlarian, berjalan-jalan, mondar-mandir tanpa tujuan, melompat lompat pada saat kegiatan, dan kerap menunjukkan perilaku berulang seperti memukul dirinya, bertepuk tangan, memainkan jari, mengucapkan kalimat berulang dan sebagainya pada kondisi tertentu. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan konselor dalam menangani dan membina anak autis adalah dengan melakukan terapi dengan menggunakan berbagai macam teori dan metode. Namun, pada pelaksanaannya belum maksimal, hal ini dikarenakan konselor mengalami beberapa kendala yaitu para konseli tidak dapat mengikuti kegiatan terapi dengan tertib. Berdasarkan latar belakang di atas maka penulis mengadakan penelitian yang berjudul “Strategi Konselor Dalam Menangani Perilaku Repetitif Pada Anak Autis di Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Centre Lampung”. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini (1) Untuk mengetahui bentuk perilaku repetitif pada anak autis di Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Centre Lampung. Dan (2) Untuk mengetahui strategi konselor dalam menangani perilaku repetitif pada anak autis di Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Centre Lampung. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian lapangan (field research). Data primer didapatkan langsung dari wawancara 5 orang yakni 1 orang Penanggung Jawab, 2 orang Konselor, dan 2 orang anak autis yang sedang menjalani terapi penanganan perilaku repetitif di Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Centre Lampung. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini terdapat 2 orang anak yang sedang menjalani terapi dengan gangguan perilaku repetitif di Edufa Counseling And Autism Therapy Centre Bandar Lampung. Klien Zahra Kalam (8 tahun) memiliki perilaku repetitif menepuk tangan dengan frekuensi sebanyak 15 kali dalam jangka waktu 60 menit. iii Sedangkan Vania Andini (12 tahun) memiliki perilaku repetitif mengulang-ulang kalimat dengan frekuensi sebanyak 10 kali dalam jangka waktu 60 menit. Strategi strategi konselor dalam menangani perilaku repetitif pada anak autis di Edufa Counseling And Autism Therapy Centre Bandar Lampung terlaksana dengan baik dengan strategi dengan menggunakan terapi Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) dan art therapy yakni dengan cara identifikasi masalah, assesment, diagnosis, perencanaan treatmen, pelaksanaan treatment, dan evaluasi. Strategi konselor tersebut dapat mengurangi frekuensi perilaku repetitif pada anak autis. Kata Kunci : Strategi, Konselor, Perilaku Repetitif, Anak Autis iv ABSTRACT The behavior of autistic children who receive therapy at the Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Center Lampung include often running around, walking around, pacing aimlessly, jumping up and down during activities, and often showing repetitive behavior such as hitting themselves, clapping their hands, playing with their fingers, saying sentences. repeated and so on under certain conditions. The efforts made by counselors in handling and developing autistic children are by carrying out therapy using various theories and methods. However, the implementation was not optimal, this was because counselors experienced several obstacles, namely the counselees were unable to participate in therapy activities in an orderly manner. Based on the background above, the author conducted research entitled "Counselor Strategies in Handling Repetitive Behavior in Autistic Children at the Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Center Lampung". The aims of this research are (1) To determine the forms of repetitive behavior in autistic children at the Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Center Lampung. And (2) To find out counselor strategies in dealing with repetitive behavior in autistic children at the Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Center Lampung. This research includes field research. Primary data was obtained directly from interviews with 5 people, namely 1 person in charge, 2 counselors, and 2 autistic children who were undergoing therapy for treating repetitive behavior at the Edufa Counseling and Autism Therapy Center Lampung. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this research were 2 children who were undergoing therapy with repetitive behavior disorders at the Edufa Counseling And Autism Therapy Center Bandar Lampung. Client Zahra Kalam (8 years) has repetitive behavior of clapping her hands with a frequency of 15 times in a period of 60 minutes. Meanwhile, v Vania Andini (12 years) has repetitive behavior, repeating sentences with a frequency of 10 times in a period of 60 minutes. The counselor's strategy for dealing with repetitive behavior in autistic children at the Edufa Counseling And Autism Therapy Center Bandar Lampung is implemented well with strategies using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and art therapy, namely by identifying problems, assessing, diagnosing, planning treatment, implementing treatment, and evaluation.
