Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berangkat dari beberapa fenomena yaitu tentang adanya kebijakan merdeka belajar yang baru digaungkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan. Merdeka belajar sebagai bentuk memberikan kebebasan bagi guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini berguna untuk mengetahui implementasi merdeka belajar pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah guru PAI SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gisting. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Untuk menguji keabsahan data, peneliti menggunakan teknik triangulasi yaitu, triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian ini didapat implementasi merdeka belajar pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gisting Tanggamus sudah dijalankan dengan baik. Dalam proses implementasinya diketahui bahwa, terdapat upaya perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi implementasi kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Terdapat faktor kendala dalam implementasi kurikulum Merdeka belajar di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gisting yaitu kurangnya pemahaman dan pengalaman guru dalam implementasi merdeka belajar serta masih adanya beberapa siswa yang belum memahami betul apa itu merdeka belajar, Kata Kunci: Implementasi, Merdeka Belajar, Pendidikan Agama Islam iv ABSTRACT This research departs from several phenomena, namely the existence of an independent learning policy that has just been proposed by the Ministry of Education. Freedom to learn is a form of providing freedom for teachers and students in the learning process. This research is useful for knowing the implementation of independent learning in Islamic Religious Education learning. This research uses a qualitative research approach. The population and sample in this research were PAI teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gisting. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. To test the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation techniques, namely, source triangulation, technique triangulation and time triangulation. The results of this research showed that the implementation of independent learning in Islamic Religious Education at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gisting Tanggamus had been carried out well. In the implementation process, it is known that there are efforts to plan, implement and evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. There are obstacle factors in implementing the Independent Learning curriculum at Muhammadiyah 2 Gisting Middle School, namely the lack of understanding and experience of teachers in implementing independent learning and there are still some students who do not really understand what independent learning is.
