Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan komunikasi dan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan suatu kemampuan yang perlu dikuasai oleh siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran KAPDA terhadap kemampuan komunikasi dan pemahaman konsep matematis ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis Quasy Eksperimental Design. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Baradatu dengan jumlah populasi 244 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model KAPDA dan kelas XI MIPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan model konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, angket dan observasi. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji Manova dua arah (Two way manova). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa, kemampuan komunikasi dan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran KAPDA lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori, namun dapat diketahui bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa lebih baik dibandingkan kemampuan komunikasi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran KAPDA dan siswa lebih baik dengan minat belajar tinggi dibandingkan minat belajar sedang dan rendah. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Komunikasi, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis, Model KAPDA, dan Minat Belajar. iv ABSTRACT Students' communication skills and understanding of mathematical concepts in mathematics learning are abilities that students need to master. The aim of this research is to see the influence of the KAPDA learning model on communication skills and understanding of mathematical concepts in terms of students' learning interest. This research is a quantitative research type of Quasy Experimental Design. The subjects of this research were class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Baradatu with a population of 244 students. The sample in this study was class XI MIPA 3 as an experimental class using the KAPDA model and class XI MIPA 4 as a control class using a conventional model. Data collection techniques include tests, questionnaires and observations. Hypothesis testing in this research uses a two-way Manova test. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that students' communication skills and understanding of mathematical concepts using the KAPDA learning model were better than students using the expository learning model, but it can be seen that students' understanding of mathematical concepts was better than their communication skills using the KAPDA learning model. and students do better with high learning interest compared to medium and low learning interest.
