Abstract

Seeds that have been infected with pathogens not only inhibit plant growth but can also cause poisoning, because pathogens are able to survive in their habitat in soil, weeds, and waste. plant. One of the people of Lawang Agung Village has experienced crop failure, one of the factors is that the structure of the rice seeds contains white powder with conditions inside the seeds which are yellow, and there is a structure of red spots on the rice seeds. This study aims to determine the types of seed-borne pathogenic fungi in three rice varieties, and to determine the percentage of seed germination in three rice varieties. The method used in sampling was the Random Sampling technique, one rice variety was taken from three different farmers. The media used in this study was PDA. The research was conducted in March - May 2023 in the Plant Laboratory of the Lampung State Polytechnic. The results of research on seed-borne pathogenic fungi on three varieties of rice in Lawang Agung Village, South Oku Regency found 7 genera of fungi namely, Aspergillus, Rhizopus, Mucor, Alternaria, Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, and Curvularia. While the percentage of germination power on three varieties, namely: on black sticky rice sample one 41%, sample two 81%, and sample three 84%, for white sticky rice on sample one 82%, sample two 79%, and sample three 86%. And in Ciherang sample one 96%, sample two 84%, and sample three 89%. Keywords: Inventory, Fungi, paddy, pathogen , Seed Borne
