Abstract

ABSTRAK Memaknai dan mempresentasikan cara penyelesaian suatu permasalahan merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki setiap orang. Penyelesaian masalah adalah suatu proses menerima tantangan dan usaha menyelesaikannya sesuai dengan bagaimana cara seseorang mempresentasikan masalah tersebut. Berdasarkan pra-penelitian yang telah dilakukan di SMP Negeri 5 Madang Suku I kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik masih terbilang rendah. Ada 66% peserta didik yang mendapatkan nilai dibawah KKM yaitu 70. peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran quantum teaching dan self esteem terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian quasi experimental design dan sampelnya adalah peserta didik kelas VIII B dan VIII C SMP Negeri 5 Madang Suku I. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang diterapkan adalah cluster random sampling dengan materi statistika. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes kemampuan representasi matematis dan angket self esteem. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analysis of covariance (one-way ancova), dengan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh (1) p-value sehingga H0A ditolak dengan kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran quantum teaching terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis. (2) p-value sehingga H0B ditolak dengan kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh variabel kovariat terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis.(3) p-value = 0.000 < a= 0,05 sehingga H0C ditolak dengan kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran quantum teaching terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dengan mengontrol self esteem. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Quantum Teaching, Self Esteem dan Kemamampuan Representasi Matematis. iv ABSTRACT Interpreting and presenting how to solve a problem is a skill that everyone should have. Problem solving is a process of accepting challenges and trying to solve them according to how someone presents the problem. Based on pre-research conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Madang Tribe I, students' mathematical representation abilities were still relatively low. There were 66% of students who scored below the KKM, namely 70 students. This study aims to determine the effect of the quantum teaching learning model and self-esteem on students' mathematical representation abilities. This research uses a quasi-experimental design research and the sample is students in class VIII B and VIII C of SMP Negeri 5 Madang Tribe I. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling with statistics material. The instruments used to collect data are tests of mathematical representation abilities and self-esteem questionnaires. Testing the hypothesis using analysis of covariance (one-way ancova), with a significance level of 5% obtained (1) p�value so that H0A is rejected with the conclusion that there is an effect of the quantum teaching learning model on mathematical representation abilities. (2) p-value so that H0B is rejected with the conclusion that there is no effect of covariate variables on mathematical representation abilities. .(3) p�value = 0.000 < a= 0,05 sehingga so that H0C is rejected with the conclusion that there is influence quantum teaching learning model of mathematical representation abilities by controlling self-esteem.
