Abstract

ABSTRAK Adanya hasil Pra Penelitian yang telah peneliti lakukan observasi dan wawancara di SMP Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung, masih banyaknya siswa yang melanggar peraturan di sekolah, contohnya seperti di dalam ruang lingkup kelas maupun pelayanan sekolah (Perpustakaan). Makan di area Perpustakaan, tidak memasukan baju didalam lingkungan sekolah, Bermain Handphone pada saat jam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tentang implementasi punishment dan reward dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa di SMP Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan informan: Wakil Ketua Kesiswaan, Guru BK dan Siswa di SMP Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data dan menarik kesimpulan. Untuk memeriksa keabsahan data menggunakan Triangulasi Sumber Data dan Triangulasi Teknik dengan cara mengecek data dengan sumber yang sama tetapi dengan metode yang berbeda. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini adalah tahap pralapangan, tahap penelitian, dan tahap pelaporan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan yaitu dengan peraturan, punishment (hukuman), reward (penghargaan) belum berjalan secara maksimal. Pihak sekolah juga sangat memerlukan dukungan dan kerjasama 3 dengan berbagai pihak dari sekolah. Kedisiplinan di SMP Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung sudah berjalan dengan baik tetapi belum maksimal. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari segi input, proses, outputnya. Dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa di SMP Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung meliputi 1). Peraturan, pihak sekolah sudah menerapkan peraturan yang telah ada walaupun tidak semua siswa dapat mematuhi peraturan tersebut 2). Punishment, pihak sekolah menerapkan adanya bentuk hukuman secara lisan, tulis, maupun drop out. 3). Reward, pihak sekolah telah menerapkan adanya penghargaan untuk siswa yang berprestasi akademik/non akademik, kelas terbersih. Kata Kunci: Peraturan, Punishment, Reward 4 ABSTRACT This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of punishment and reward in improving student discipline at SMP Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung. Implementation research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation techniques with informants: Deputy Head of Student Affairs, Counseling Teachers and Students at SMP Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, data verification and drawing conclusions. To check the validity of the data using Data Source Triangulation and Engineering Triangulation by checking data with the same source but with different methods. The stages in this study were the pre-field stage, the research stage, and the research results reporting stage. The results of the study show that schools in improving discipline, namely with regulations, punishments (punishments), rewards (prizes) have not run optimally. The school also really needs support and cooperation with various parties from the school. Discipline at SMP Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung has been going well but not optimal. It can be seen in terms of input, process, output. In improving student discipline at SMP Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung includes 1). Regulations, the school has implemented existing regulations even though not all students can comply with these regulations 2). Punishment, the school applies a form of punishment verbally, in writing, or dropping out. 3). Reward, the school has 5 implemented awards for students with academic/non-academic achievements, the cleanest class. Implications or suggestions from this research: 1) It is hoped that the Deputy for Student Affairs and schools can work together with student organizations in improving discipline in schools and activating student organizations (OSIS) and class leaders 2) The Deputy for Student Affairs is expected to be able to work closely with teachers or other staff in improving discipline in the classroom, as well as school services for example: libraries, UKS 3) Schools are also expected to reactivate anything that was left behind after the corona outbreak.
