Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika hal ini disebabkan karena masih kurangnya variasi dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu diperlukan model pembelajaran dan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi dalam proses pembelajaran salah satunya dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan metode pictorial riddle agar model dan metode ini lebih efektif. Kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh guru hanya menjelaskan materi dan memberi contoh dan latihan sehingga pembelajaran terlihat monoton dan kurang menarik. Sehingga hal tersebut berdampak pada hasil kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Salah satu pemecahan masalah yang berkaitan dengan hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika adalah penulis mencoba untuk menerapkan metode pictorial riddle berbantuan media gambar yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Adapun rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah “Apakah penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan metode pictorial riddle dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika di SDN Way Laga Bandar Lampung? Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui model pemebelajaran inkuiri dengan metode pictorial riddle. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Clasroom Action Research) yang dirancang dalam dua siklus dimana dalam setiap siklus terdiri dari kali pertemuan. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Subjek pada penelitian ini peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif kuantitatif. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran ikuiri dengan metode pictorial riddle dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas IVB SDN Way Laga Bandar Lampung. Hal ini dibuktikan pada data awal hasil belajar matematika sebesar . Dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, rata-rata hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa pada siklus I sebesar dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model iv pembelajaran inkuiri dengan model pictorial riddle dapat meningkatkan hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah matamatika siswa kelas IV B di SDN Way Laga Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran . Kata Kunci: Model inkuiri ,Metode Pictorial Riddle, dan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah v ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low ability of students to solve math problems, this is due to the lack of variation in learning. Therefore, learning models and learning methods are needed that vary in the learning process, one of which is by using the inquiry learning model with the pictorial riddle method so that these models and methods are more effective. The activities carried out by the teacher only explain the material and provide examples and exercises so that learning looks monotonous and less interesting. So that this has an impact on the results of students' ability to solve mathematical problems. One of the problem solving related to the results of mathematical problem solving abilities is that the writer tries to apply the pictorial riddle method assisted by media images which is expected to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The formulation of the problem from this study is "Is the application of the inquiry learning model with the pictorial riddle method able to improve mathematical problem solving skills at SDN Way Laga Bandar Lampung? The purpose of this research is to improve students' mathematical problem solving skills through the inquiry learning model with the pictorial riddle method. This research is a class action research (Classroom Action Research) which is designed in two cycles where each cycle consists of meetings. The design used in this study uses the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subjects in this study were students. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative qualitative analysis. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The results of this study indicate that through the application of the inquiry learning model with the pictorial riddle method it can improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of class IVB students at SDN Way Laga Bandar Lampung. This is evidenced in the initial data on mathematics learning outcomes of . And the results showed that, the average results of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in cycle I was and cycle II had an increase of . Based on the results of the research and data analysis it can be concluded that the application of the inquiry vi learning model with the pictorial riddle model can improve the results of the math problem solving abilities of class IV B students at SDN Way Laga Bandar Lampung in the academic year.
