Abstract

ABSTRAK PENERAPAN PATH ANALYSIS PADA FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEMISKINAN DI KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG PERIODE - Oleh : Nuraini Kartini Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemiskinan di Kota Bandar Lampung pada periode - . Penelitian ini menggunakan inflasi, pendidikan dan indeks pembangunan manusia (IPM) yang dianggap mempengaruhi kemiskinan. Inflasi dan pendidikan dapat berpengaruh secara langsung maupun tidak langsung terhadap kemiskinan melalui indeks pembangunan manusia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Path Analysis yang merupakan suatu metode untuk melihat pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung antar variabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi Lampung. Perhitungan dilakukan dengan bantuan software SPSS dan Amos. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan secara langsung antara inflasi dan pendidikan terhadap indeks pembangunan manusia (IPM). Jika inflasi rendah dan pendidikan tinggi maka IPM meningkat. Pendidikan dan IPM juga berpengaruh signifikan secara langsung terhadap kemiskinan. Jika pendidikan dan IPM rendah, maka kemiskinan meningkat. Inflasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan secara langsung terhadap kemiskinan, hal tersebut dikarenakan terdapat indikator-indikator lain sehingga inflasi secara tidak langsung berdampak terhadap kemiskinan. Kemudian, inflasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemiskinan melalui IPM dimana inflasi berpengaruh terhadap IPM sehingga kemiskinan meningkat. Sebaliknya, pendidikan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemiskinan melalui IPM yang berarti pendidikan berpengaruh terhadap IPM yang selanjutnya menurunkan kemiskinan. This study uses inflation, education and the human development index (HDI) which are considered to affect poverty. Inflation and education can directly or indirectly affect poverty through the human development index. The method used in this study is Path Analysis which is a method to see the direct and indirect effects between variables. This study uses secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Lampung Province. Calculations were performed with the help of SPSS and Amos software. The results of the research show that there is a direct significant influence between inflation and education on the human development index (IPM). If inflation is low and education is high then the HDI increases. Education and HDI also have a significant direct effect on poverty. If education and HDI are low, then poverty increases. Inflation does not have a significant direct effect on poverty, this is because there are other indicators so that inflation indirectly has an impact on poverty. Then, inflation has a significant effect on poverty through HDI where inflation affects HDI so that poverty increases. Conversely, education does not have a significant effect on poverty through the HDI, which means that education has an effect on HDI, which in turn reduces poverty.
