Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi berdasarkan masalah yaitu, penggunaan buku tematik sebagai bahan ajar masih terdapat kelemahan dalam isi materi yaitu materi yang disajikan terbatas, ilustrasi atau gambar dan penyajian eskperimen yang kurang jelas, kurangnya media pembelajaran yang dapat membuat peserta didik aktif saat proses pembelajaran, kurang adanya media pembelajaran yang bervariasi. Pendidik dan peserta didik membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang terbaru agar proses kegiatan belajar mengajar dapat bervariasi berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut peneliti mengembangkan media Fun Thinkers Book pada pembelajaran tematik kelas III SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media Fun Thinkers Book, mengetahui kelayakan media Fun Thinkers Book, dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap kemenarikan media Fun Thinkers Book. Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) yang dikembangkan oleh Dick and Carry dengan desain pendekatan menurut Robert Maribe Brach yaitu ADDIE . Tahapan yang terdapat pada model ADDIE ini meliputi, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Validasi kelayakan dilakukan dengan satu ahli materi, dua ahli media, dua ahli bahasa, dan satu pendidik. Uji lapangan terdiri dari uji skala kecil di SDN 2 Branti Raya dengan 16 peserta didik dan uji skala besar di SDN Branti Raya dengan 28 peserta didik. Hasil uji validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli materi dengan persentase keseluruhan 92% dinyatakan mendapatkan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Validasi ahli media dengan persentase keseluruhan 81,5% dinyatakan mendapatkan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Validasi ahli bahasa dengan persentase keseluruhan 85,83% dan mendapatkan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Respon pendidik dengan persentase keseluruhan 94,16% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Respon peserta didik uji skala kecil memdapatkan persentase keseluruhan 94,58% dinyatakan dengan kriteria sangat menarik dan uji skala besar mendapatkan persentase keseluruhan 88,86 dinyatakan dengan kriteria sangat menarik. Dengan demikian Media pembelajaran yang berupa media Fun Thinkers Book untuk pembelajaran tematik kelas III SD menarik dan layak digunakan. Educators and students need the latest learning media so that the process of teaching and learning activities can vary based on these problems. The researcher developed the Fun Thinkers Book media for thematic learning of class III SD. This study aims to develop Fun Thinkers Book media, determine the feasibility of Fun Thinkers Book media, and determine students' responses to the attractiveness of Fun Thinkers Book media. This research method is Research and Development (R&D) with the design approach according to Robert Maribe Brach namely ADDIE. The stages contained in the ADDIE model include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Feasibility validation was carried out with one material expert, two media experts, two linguists and one educator. The field test consisted of a small-scale test at SDN 2 Branti Raya with 16 students and a large-scale test at SDN Branti Raya with 28 students. The results of the validation test conducted by material experts with an overall percentage of 92% were stated to get the "Very Eligible" criteria. Media expert validation with an overall percentage of 81.5% was stated to get the "Very Eligible" criteria. Linguist validation with an overall percentage of 85.83% and getting the "Very Eligible" criteria. Educator's response with an overall percentage of 94.16% with very decent criteria. The response of the small-scale test students to get an overall percentage of 94.58% was stated with very interesting criteria and the large-scale test got an overall percentage of 88.86 stated with very interesting criteria. Thus the learning media in the form of Fun Thinkers Book media for class III SD thematic learning is interesting and appropriate to use. Keywords: Media Fun Thinkers Book, Thematic Learning
