Abstract

ABSRTAK Semakin tingginya tuntutan masyarakat terhadap mutu suatu pendidikan, maka lembaga pendidikan yang bernuansa Islami harus adaptif dan memiliki standar mutu yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk medeskripsikan efektivitas full day school dalam mengembangkan karakter peserta didik di SD Muhammadiyah Pringsewu. Penelitian ini menggunkan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan pada kepala sekolah, guru, orang tua siswa, siswa. observasi dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai kegiatan peserta didik selama full day school serta efektivitas full day school dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Dokumentasi dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi dokumen sekolah seperti data tentang kegiatan full day school, sejarah berdirinya sekolah, stuktur organisasi sekolah, visi dan misi sekolah, kurikulum sekolah, dan sarana prasarana serta proses pembelajaran full day school di SD Muhammadiyah Pringsewu. Hasil penelitian, melalui kegiatan pembelajaran yang disusun dalam perancanaan pembelajaran yang sesuia, didukung oleh tenaga pendidik yang mumpuni pada bidangnya, sarana prasarana yang memadai, dukunganorang tua serta kerjasama yang baik oleh seluruh dewan guru dalam menjadikan teladan dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Dengan menunjukkan sukap semangat dan senang belajar disekolah maupun dirumah, taat beribadah, mmiliki kepedulian sosial, sehingga terciptanya output yang sesuai dengan visi dan misi sekolah yaitu menjadi generasi unggul dalam prestasi, adaptif, bertaqwa, terampil dan serta berakhlak mulia. Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Full Day School, Pembetukan Karakter iii ABSTRACT The higher the demands of the comunity fot the qualityof an education, the educational institutions with islamic nuances must be adaptive and have good quality standarts. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of full day school in developing the character of studens at Muhamadiyah Pringsewu Elementary School. The study uses interviw data collection techniques, observation, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with principal, teacher, parents, and students. Observations were made to obtion information about student’s activities during full day school and the effectiveness of full day school in building student character. Documentations such as data on full day school sctivities, history of the school’s establishment, school organizational stucture, school vision, and mission, school curiculum, and infrastructure and leasrning processes for full day school at Muahammadiyah Pringsewu Elementari School. The results of the reserch, through learning activities arraged in an appropriate learning plan, supported by educator who are qualified in their fields, adequate infrastructure, parental support and good cooperation by the entire board of teachers in setting an example in the formation of student character by showing enthusiasm and joy in learning at school and at home, being obedient to worship, having social concern, so as to create output that is in accordance with the school’s vision and mission, namely to be a superirgeneration in achievement, adaptive, pious, skilled and noble.
