Abstract
ABSTRAK Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian, kemampuan kognitif mengenal bentuk geometri di Taman Kanak-Kanak AL-Ulya Rajabasa Bandar Lampung belum berkembang sangat baik karena masih ada anak yang responnya belum fokus dengan materi yang diberikan oleh guru Kemudian kurangnya media yang digunakan sehingga membuat anak mudah jenuh saat mengikuti pembelajaran dan anak masih belum benar dalam menyebutkan bentuk-bentuk geometri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif mengenal bentuk geometri melalui metode index card match pada anak kelompok B di Taman Kanak-Kanak AL-Ulya Rajabasa Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Dengan 2 siklus dilakukan tingkat pencapaian 75% anak berkembang sangat baik (BSB). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan obvervasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini menggunakan 1 orang guru kelas, peserta didik Taman Kanak-Kanak AL-Ulya kelompok B yang berjumlah 12 anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif mengenal bentuk geometi melalui metode index card match meningkat. Peningkatan dapat dilakukan pada data penelitian dari 12 anak setelah melakukan tindakan pada siklus 1 terdapat berkembang sangat baik (BSB) ada 2 anak 16,6%. Pada siklus II terdapat yang berkembang sangat baik (BSB) ada 10 anak 83,3%. Penelitian ini dihentikan sampai siklus II karena sudah melampau standar keberhasilan yang telah di tetapkan sebelumnya yaitu anak yang berkembang sangat baik mencapai 75%. Hasil kemampuan anak dalam mengenal bentuk geometri sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode index card match mengalami peningkatan yang sangat baik, hal ini terlihat dari hasil pra penelitian anak yang berkembang sangat baik tidak ada, kemudian setelah dilakukan siklus I, siklus II anak yang berkembang sangat baik (BSB) mencapai 83,3% Kata kunci : Meningkatkan Kemampuan Kognitif, mengenal bentuk geometri, index card match iv ABSTRACT Based on the results of the research, the authors found that in AL-Ulya Kindergarten, the cognitive ability to recognize geometric shapes had not developed very well because they saw that there were still children whose responses were still not focused on the material provided by the teacher, and some even chose to tell stories with their peers rather than see or pay attention to the learning material provided by the teacher. Then the lack of media used makes children easily bored when participating in learning and children are still not correct in mentioning geometric shapes. This study aims to improve cognitive ability to recognize geometric shapes through index card match media in group B children at AL-Ulya Rajabasa Kindergarten Bandar Lampung. This study used the classroom action research (PTK) method using the Kemmis and MC Taggert models Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The subject of this study used 1 class teacher, group B AL-Ulya Kindergarten students, totaling 12 children. The results of the study show that increasing cognitive ability to recognize geometric shapes through index card match media increases. Improvements can be made to research data from 12 children after carrying out actions in cycle 1 there were very good development (BSB) there were 2 children 16.6%. In cycle II there were those who developed very well (BSB) there were 10 children 83.3%. This research was stopped until cycle II because it had exceeded the standard of success that had been previously set, namely children who developed very well, reaching 75%. Based on the results of research in cycle I, cycle II, the writer can conclude that knowing geometric shapes through index card match media can improve the cognitive abilities of children in group B at AL-Ulya Kindergarten Rajabasa Bandar Lampung.
