Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis merupakan suatu kemampuan yang perlu dikuasai peserta didik sebagai penunjang pada penyelesaian permasalahan matematika. Hasil pra penelitian dikelas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Mesuji menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik masih rendah, dimana peserta didik masih banyak mendapatkan nilai dibawah KKM (KKM = 70). Peneliti tertarik melakukan penelitian dengan penerapan model pembelajaran untuk memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran picture and picture terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII B dan VIII C MTs Negeri 1 Mesuji. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Cluster Random Sampling (teknik acak kelas). Teknik pengumpulan data ini berupa tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Varians). Hasil penelitian dan hitung uji MANOVA diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran picture and picture terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran picture and picture terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep, serta terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran picture and picture terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Researchers are interested in conducting research with the application of learning models to influence students' conceptual understanding abilities and students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. This study uses a picture and picture learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the picture and picture learning model on students' conceptual understanding abilities and students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. This research uses a quasi-experimental research type. The sample of this research is class VIII B and VIII C of MTs Negeri 1 Mesuji. The sampling technique used is Cluster Random Sampling. This data collection technique is in the form of tests and observations. The data analysis technique used is the normality and homogeneity tests. Testing the hypothesis in this study used the MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variances) test. The results of the study and the MANOVA test count concluded that there was an influence of the picture and picture learning model on the ability to understand concepts and mathematical critical thinking skills, there was an influence of the picture and picture learning model on the ability to understand concepts, and there was an influence of the picture and picture learning model on critical thinking skills mathematical.
