Abstract

ABSTRAK Tokoh agama merupakan seorang figur yang memiliki ilmu keagamaan melebihi masyarakat pada umumnya, ia merupakan tokoh yang karismatik dan sangat disegani. Apa yang mereka ajarkan akan mudah diterima dan diyakini oleh umatnya. Dengan demikian tokoh agama memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Para tokoh agama menjadi tokoh sentral dalam membentuk kedekatan antar umat beragama serta tokoh agama oleh pemerintah kerap kali dilibatkan untuk meredakan konflik. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa peran tokoh agama sangatlah penting untuk menciptakan kondisi damai dalam masyarakat. Bahkan setelah konflik berakhirpun para tokoh agama masih akan dibutuhkan untuk membina masyarakat agar konflik yang sama tidak terulang kembali. Sehubungan dengan konflik yang pernah terjadi di Desa Balinuraga, penelitian ini bertujuan utuk mengetahui peran tokoh agama Hindu dan Islam dalam membina perdamaian pasca konflik sosial 2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan field research (penelitian lapangan.). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang telah dikumpulkan kemudian disajiakan dan ditarik kesimpulannya. Berdasarkan penelitian ini peran tokoh agama Hindu dan Islam di Desa Balinuraga dalam pembinaan perdamaian pasca konflik cukup signifikan. Meskipun pembinaan masih terbatas pada umat masing-masing agama namun para tokoh agama menunjukan contoh nyata bagaimana seharusnya hidup bermasyarakat meskipun dalam bingkai perbedaan. Tokoh agama Hindu dan Islam juga mengajarkan kepada uamatnya untuk selalu menghormati dan menyayangi sesama manusia. Dengan dukungan dari masyarakat Hindu dan Islam itu sendiri para tokoh agama baik Hindu maupun Islam dapat menjalankan perannya walaupun belum maksimal. Hal ini di karenakan kurangnya pendanaan untuk kegiatan pembinaan maupun kendala ekonomi msyarakat setempat. Kata Kunci: Peran, Tokoh Agama Hindu dan Islam, Membina Perdamaian, Pasca Konflik. ABSTRACT Religious leader is a figure who has religious knowledge beyond that of society in general, he is a charismatic and highly respected figure. What they teach will be easily accepted and believed by the people. Those religious figures have an important role in people's lives. Religious leaders become central figures in forming closeness between religious communities and religious leaders are often involved by the government to defuse conflicts. This shows that the role of religious leaders is very important to create conditions of peace in society. Even after the conflict ends, religious leaders will still be needed to guide the community so that the same conflict does not recur. In connection with the conflicts that have occurred in Balinuraga village, this research aims to determine the role of Hindu and Islamic religious leaders in fostering peace after the 2012 social conflict. This research uses a type of qualitative descriptive research with a field research approach (field research). Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data that has been collected is then presented and conclusions are drawn. Based on this research, the role of Hindu and Islamic religious leaders in Balinuraga village in fostering post-conflict peace is quite significant. Even though the development is still limited to followers of each religion, religious leaders show clear examples of how to live in a society even though within the framework of differences. Hindu and Islamic religious figures also teach their people to always respect and love fellow human beings. With the support of the Hindu and Muslim communities themselves, religious leaders, both Hindu and Muslim, can carry out their roles, although not optimally. This is due to the lack of funding for development activities as well as the economic constraints of the local community.
