Abstract

ABSTRAK Mangrove adalah bentuk ekosistem hutan yang khas dan unik, tumbuh serta berkembang di daerah pasang surut terutama pantai terlindung, laguna dan muara sungai. Ekosistem mangrove memiliki fungsi yakni fungsi fisik, ekologi, dan ekonomi. Fungsi ekosistem mangrove yang optimal didukung oleh kondisi mangrove yang baik. Oleh sebab itu perlu adanya pengetahuan dan informasi tentang kondisi yang ada di ekowisata mangrove petengoran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi kerapatan dan tutupan kanopi di ekowisata mangrove Petengoran. Waktu penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Oktober sampai bulan November . Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif kualitatif, metode penentuan titik plot penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling, cara pengambilan data foto tutupan kanopi menggunakan metode hemispherical photography. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi Monmang dan Microsoft Excel . Hasil penelitian ditemukan spesies Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, dan Ceriops tagal di lokasi penelitian. Kerapatan rata-rata berkisar ind/ha berkriteria baik dan nilai persentase tutupan kanopi berkisar % yang berkriteria baik. Kata Kunci: hemispherical photography, mangrove, tutupan kanopi iv ABSTRACT Mangroves are a distinct and unique form of forest ecosystem that grow and develop in tidal areas, especially in protected beaches, lagoons, and estuaries. Mangrove ecosystems has several functions including physical, ecological, and economic functions. The optimal function of mangrove ecosystems relies on their good conditions. Therefore, it is necessary to have knowledge and information about the existing conditions in Petengoran Mangrove Ecotourism. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of density and canopy cover in Petengoran Mangrove Ecotourism. The time of the research was conducted from October to November . This type of research is descriptive qualitative, the method of determining research plot points using purposive sampling, the method of collecting canopy cover photo data using the hemispherical photography method. Data analysis using the Monmang Application and Microsoft Excel . The results of the study found Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, and Ceriops tagal species at the study site. The average density ranges from ind/ha with good criteria and the percentage value of canopy cover ranges from which has good criteria. Keywords: canopy cover, hemispherical photography, mangrove
