Abstract

ABSTRAK Pemecahan masalah merupakan komponen penting yang komprehensif, siswa perlu memahami masalah, mengubahnya dalam bentuk matematis, dan menyelesaikannya secara matematis, sehingga didapatkan hasil atau solusi dari masalah tersebut. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi pemecahan masalah salah satunya adalah self-efficacy. NCTM mengemukakan tentang standar proses pembelajaran matematika, yaitu: pemecahan masalah, penalaran dan pembuktian matematika, komunikasi matematika, koneksi matematis dan representasi matematis. Oleh sebab itu penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui model hubungan terbaik antara variabel self�efficacy, representasi matematis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, serta mengetahui hubungan langsung dan tidak langsung nya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Pesawaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Pesawaran. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu cluster random sampling yang kemudian diperoleh kelas VIII D dan VIII E sebagai sampel dengan jumlah sampel 60 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah angket self-efficacy serta tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan representasi matematis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model hubungan terbaik dari ketiga variabel adalah dengan self-efficacy sebagai variabel eksogen, representasi matematis sebagai variabel endogen dan pemecahan masalah sebagai variabel intervening, dan dari hasil penelitian juga diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara self-efficacy terhadap representasi matematis, representasi matematis terhadap pemecahan masalah matematis, self-efficacy terhadap pemecahan masalah matematis, serta terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara self-efficacy terhadap pemecahan masalah matematis melalui representasi matematis. Kata Kunci : Self-Efficacy, Representasi Matematis, Pemecahan Masalah Matematis. iv ABSTRACT Problem-solving is an important component that is comprehensive, students need to understand the problem, turn it into a mathematical form, and solve it mathematically so that results or solutions are obtained from the problem. Several factors can influence problem-solving, one of which is self�efficacy. NCTM proposes standard mathematics learning processes, namely: problem-solving, mathematical reasoning and proof, mathematical communication, mathematical connections, and mathematical representations. Therefore this study aims to find out the best relationship model between self�efficacy variables, mathematical representations, and mathematical problem-solving skills, as well as find out the direct and indirect relationship. This research was conducted in class VIII at SMP Negeri 4 Pesawaran. This type of research is ex post facto with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Pesawaran. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling which then obtained class VIII D and VIII E as a sample with a total sample of 60 students. The instruments used in data collection were self-efficacy questionnaires and tests of mathematical problem-solving abilities and mathematical representations. The results of this study indicate that the best relationship model of the three variables is with self-efficacy as an exogenous variable, mathematical representation as an endogenous variable, and problem solving as an intervening variable, and from the results of the study it is also known that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and representation. mathematical representation, mathematical representation of mathematical problem solving, self-efficacy towards mathematical problem solving, and there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy towards solving mathematical problems through mathematical representation.
