Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH METODE SMALL GRUP DISCUSSION BERBANTU MEDIA VIDEO ANIMASI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA MATA PELAJARAN BIOLOGI KELAS XI Oleh Raina Maharani Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam belaja. Pada Proses pembelajaran selain menggunakan metode pembelajaran media juga dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu untuk proses pembelajaran. Salah satu metode pembelajaran dan media adalah Metode Small Grup Discussion Berbantu Media Video Animasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh Metode Small Grup Discussion Berbantu Media Video Animasi Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Pada Mata Pelajaran Biologi Kelas XI di SMA N 1 Palas Lampung Selatan. Penelitiain ini merupakan penelitisn kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Metode Quasy Eksperiment, Populasi penelitian yang di ambil menggunakan 2 kelas XI.IPA, dan sampel penelitian terdiri dari XI.IPA2 sebagai kelas Ekperimen dan XI.IPA3 sebagai kelas Kontrol dengan keseluruhan 50 peserta didik. Adapun Teknik sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu Teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Instrument tes penelitian menggunakan soal Multiple Choise dan diuji hipotesis dengan uji t paired. Data diperoleh dari hasil perhitungan hipotesis dengan uji paired niali sig. (2-tailed) yaitu 0,00 kurang dari 0,05. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis pada penelitian tersebut diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh Metode Small Grup Discussion Berbantu Media Video Animasi Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Pada Mata Pelajaran Biologi Kelas XI di SMA N 1 Palas Lampung Selatan. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan berpikir kritis, Metode Small Grup Discussion, Media Video Animasi. iii ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF ANIMATED VIDEO SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION METHOD ON CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY IN CLASS XI BIOLOGY By Raina Maharani This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students in learning. In the learning process, apart from using the media learning method, it can also be used as a tool for the learning process. One of the learning methods and media is the Small Group Discussion Method Assisted by Video Animation Media. This study aims to determine the effect of the Small Group Discussion Method Assisted by Video Animation Media on Critical Thinking Ability in Biology Class XI at SMA N 1 Palas Lampung Selatan. This research is a quantitative study using the Quasy Experiment Method. The research population was taken using 2 XI.IPA classes, and the research sample consisted of XI.IPA2 as the Experiment class and XI.IPA3 as the Control class with a total of 50 students. The sample technique in this study is the Cluster Random Sampling Technique. The research test instrument used Multiple Choice questions and tested the hypothesis with paired t test. Data obtained from the results of hypothesis calculations with paired sig value tests. (2-tailed) that is 0.00 less than 0.05. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this study is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of the Small Group Discussion Method Assisted by Video Animation Media on Critical Thinking Ability in Class XI Biology Subject at SMA N 1 Palas Lampung Selatan.
