ABSTRACT This research carried out the types and the dominant types in code mixing and code swithing used in podcast video of Mr. D youtube channel. The researcher used qualitative research design with the subject of the study were the utterances of Dennis Perrez and his guest from the newest podcast on Mr. D youtube channel. From the research result, types of code mixing that existed were intra sentential code mixing and intra lexical code mixing. The result of this study indicated that there are 252 items or 96,2% of intra sentential code mixing and 10 items or 3,8% of intra lexical code mixing. For code switching, all types were existed, consist of tag switching with 89 items or 54%, intra sentential code switching with 45 items or 27%, and inter sentential code swithing with 31 or 19%. From that, intra sentential become the most dominant code mixing types in podcast video of Mr. D youtube channel. With the second dominant of code mixing types is intra sentential code mixing, then the last is involving a change of pronunciation. For code swithing, the most dominant types is tag switching, the second is intra sentential code switching, and then the last is inter sentential code swithing.
