Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini diangkat dari persoalan kerukunan antar umat beragama, Indonesia merupakan negara yang penuh dengan keragaman budaya, adat istiadat, suku, bahasa dan agama. Keragaman ini merupakan keistimewaan yang dimiliki bangsa Indonesia yang patut kita banggakan, namun disisi lain juga merupakan tantangan yang harus dikelola dengan baik. Salah satu hal penting yang perlu dilakukan adalah membangun sikap toleransi dalam diri peserta didik, toleransi antar umat beragama merupakan hal yang sangat penting karena dengan adanya sikap toleransi pada setiap diri individu maka akan terwujudnya kehidupan yang rukun dan damai. Oleh karena itu sekolah yang merupakan lembaga pendidikan formal diharapkan mampu menjadikan peserta didik untuk bersikap toleransi terhadap sesama. Adapun rumusan masalah yang penulis kemukakan dalam skripsi ini ialah bagaimana penanaman nilai-nilai toleransi beragama di Pondok Pesantren Alfarabi Beranti, Apa kendala yang dihadapi dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai toleransi beragama di Pondok Pesantren Alfarabi Beranti. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, adapun teknik pungumpulan data yang digunakan ialah wawancara, angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data diperoleh dari beberapa sumber diantaranya kepala sekolah, guru, dan santri. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa di Pondok Pesantren Alfarabi Beranti ada diterapkanya nilai-nilai toleransi beragama. Namun belum begitu maksimal dikarenakan masih ada beberapa kendala yang menghambat proses penanaman nilai-nilai toleransi beragama tersebut. Kata kunci: Penanaman Nilai Toleransi Antar Umat Beragama Pada Santri Pondok Pesantren Alfarabi Beranti iv ABSTRACT This research was raised from the problem of inter-religious harmony, Indonesia is a country full of cultural diversity, customs, ethnicity, language and religion. This diversity is a feature of the Indonesian nation that we should be proud of, but on the other hand it is also a challenge that must be managed properly. One of the important things that needs to be done is to build an attitude of tolerance in students, tolerance between religious communities is very important because with an attitude of tolerance in each individual, a harmonious and peaceful life will be realized. Therefore, schools which are formal educational institutions are expected to be able to make students to be tolerant towards others. The formulation of the problem that the author presents in this thesis is how to instill the values of religious tolerance at the Alfarabi Beranti Islamic Boarding School, what are the obstacles encountered in instilling the values of religious tolerance at the Alfarabi Beranti Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach, while the data collection techniques used are interviews, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data were obtained from several sources including school principals, teachers, and students. The results of this study indicate that in Alfarabi Beranti Islamic Boarding School there are values of religious tolerance. However, it is not optimal because there are still several obstacles that hinder the process of cultivating the values of religious tolerance.
