Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan numerik dan self confidence merupakan suatu hal yang perlu dikuasai oleh setiap peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dan menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan matematika. Berdasarkan pra penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya kemampuan numerik dan self confidence peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung, hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya yaitu kurang variatifnya metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Peneliti tertarik untuk menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan numerik dan self confidence peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pembelajaran Giving Question and Getting Answer atau GQGA. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Quasy Experiment dengan design Posttest Only Control. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung, teknik pengambilan sampelnya dengan Cluster Random Sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji MANOVA dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara metode pembelajaran giving question and getting answer dengan pembelajaran metode ekspositori terhadap kemampuan numerik dan self confidence dilihat dengan nilai p-value 0,000 kurang dari 0,05, terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara metode pembelajaran giving question and getting answer dengan pembelajaran metode ekspositori terhadap kemampuan numerik dilihat dengan nilai p-value 0,000 kurang dari 0,05, dan terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara metode pembelajaran giving question and getting answer dengan pembelajaran metode ekspositori terhadap self confidence dilihat dengan nilai p-value 0,000 kurang dari 0,05. Kata Kunci: Metode Pembelajaran Giving Question and Getting Answer, Kemampuan Numerik, dan Self Confidence. iv ABSTRACT Numerical abilities and self-confidence are things that need to be mastered by every student in the learning process and solving various mathematical problems. Based on pre-research shows that the low numerical ability and self-confidence of class VIII students at SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung, this is caused by several factors, one of which is the lack of variety of learning methods applied. Researchers are interested in applying learning methods that can improve students' numerical abilities and self-confidence. This study uses the Giving Question and Getting Answer or GQGA learning method. This research uses Quasy Experiment research with Posttest Only Control design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung, the sampling technique was Cluster Random Sampling. The sample in this study was class VIII C as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class. The data analysis technique used is the MANOVA test with a significance level of 0.05. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that there was a difference in the effect of the giving question and getting answer learning method and the expository method learning on numerical ability and self-confidence seen with a p-value of 0.000 less than 0.05, there was a difference in influence between the question giving and getting learning methods answer by learning the expository method on numerical ability seen with a p-value of 0.000 less than 0.05, and there is a difference in the effect between the giving question and getting answer learning method and the expository method learning on self�confidence seen with a p-value of 0.000 less than 0.05.
