Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru PAI dalam mendidik disiplin belajar di SMP YBL Natar Lampung Selatan. Peran guru PAI yang dimaksud adalah sebagai pembimbing, teladan, motivator dan evaluator. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan metodologi pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi dan dokumen. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah primer dengan wawancara kepada guru PAI, kepala sekolah dan peserta didik. Setelah data terkumpul, kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan proses reduksi data, penyajian data, hingga penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peranan guru PAI sebagai pembimbing mampu mengidentifikasi peserta didik yang diduga mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar, melakukan diagnosa, prognosa, dan kalau masih dalam batas kewenangannya, harus membantu pemecahannya (remedial teaching). Kedua peranan guru PAI sebagai teladan mampu menjadi model dalam kedisplinan di sekolah, seperti disiplin waktu. Ketiga peranan guru PAI sebagai motivator mampu memberikan dorongan atau rangsangan kepada peserta didik untuk mendinamisasikan potensi, menumbuhkan swadaya dan kreatifitas sehingga siswa dapat disiplin dalam mengerjakan tugas, diskusi kelompok, memberikan pertanyaan dan semangat dalam mengikuti pelajaran di sekolah. Keempat peranan guru PAI sebagai evaluator mampu memberikan penilaian secara objektif terhadap peserta didik yang telah disiplin belajar dengan memberikan reward dan punishment terhadap peserta didik yang tidak disiplin belajar disertai bimbingan terhadap peserta didik tersebut. Adapun faktor pendukung peran guru PAI dalam mendidik disiplin belajar peserta didik yaitu peranan orang tua sebagai controlling peserta didik di rumah untuk senantiasa disiplin belajar. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya yaitu lingkungan peserta didik yang tidak disiplin akan dapat mempengaruhi kedisplinan siswa. The role of the PAI teacher in question is as a guide, role model, motivator and evaluator. This research is descriptive qualitative with data collection methodologies of interviews, observations and documents. The data source used is primary by interviewing PAI teachers, school principals and students. After the data is collected, then the data is analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model with the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the role of PAI teachers as mentors is able to identify students who are suspected of having learning difficulties, make diagnoses, diagnoses, and if they are still within the limits of their authority, must help solve them (remedial teaching). The second role of the PAI teacher is as a role model to be a model for discipline in schools, such as time discipline. The third role of the PAI teacher as a motivator is able to provide encouragement or stimulation to students to dynamize potential, foster self-help and creativity so that students can be disciplined in doing assignments, group discussions, giving questions and enthusiasm in following lessons at school. The four roles of the PAI teacher as evaluators are able to provide an objective assessment of students who are disciplined in learning by providing rewards and punishments for students who are not disciplined in learning accompanied by guidance to these students. The supporting factors for the role of PAI teachers in educating students' learning discipline are the role of parents as controlling students at home to always be disciplined in learning. While the inhibiting factor is the environment of students who are not disciplined will be able to influence student discipline. Keywords: Role of PAI Teachers, Learning Discipline
