Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya beberapa kendala proses pembelajaran IPA antara lain proses pembelajaran IPA yang masih menerapkan metode teacher centered, pembelajaran yang kurang menarik, dan masih rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi IPA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran ECIRR (Elicit, Confront, Identify, Resolve, Reinforce) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mata pelajaran IPA peserta didik kelas V SDN 2 Karang Anyar Jati Agung Lampung Selatan. Jenis penelitian eksperimen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperiment Design. Quasi Eksperiment Design yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pretest-Postest Control Group Desaign .Pada penelitian ini, sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 78 peserta didik dengan penjabaran 39 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen atau kelas V A yang menerapkan model pembelajaran ECIRR, sedangkan 39 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol atau kelas V B yang menerapkan model Problem Based Learning. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis berupa pre-test dan post-test kemudian di analisis dengan uji-t, sebelumnya data tersebut diuji prasyarat dengan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran ECIRR terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Hal ini dibuktikan dalam pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis data uji Anova yaitu uji paired sample t-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh taraf signifikan (sig) < 0,05 yaitu 0,000 < 0,05 yang menunjukan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima pada penelitian ini. Artinya pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran ECIRR ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V di SDN 2 Karang Anyar, Jati Agung, Lampung Selatan yang dimana antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. Kata kunci: ECIRR, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis iv ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the existence of several obstacles in the science learning process, including the science learning process which still applies the teacher center learning method, learning that is less interesting, and the students critical thinking skills are still low in science material. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the ECIRR learning model on students critical thinking skills in science for five grade students of SDN 2 Karang Anyar Jati Agung Lampung Selatan. The type of experimental research used in this research is Quasy Eksperimental Design. Quasy Eksperimental design used in this study is the Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design. In this study, the sample used was 78 students with a description of 39 students as the experimental class or class V A which applied the ECIRR learning model, while 39 students as the control class or class V B who apply the Problem Based Learning. Data collection techniques for critical thinking skills in the form of pre-test and post-test, previously the data was tested with prerequisites with the normality test and homogeneity test. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the ECIRR learning modeln on students critical thinking skills in science subjects. This is evidenced in hypothesis testing using Anova test data analysis, namely the paired sample t-test. Based on the results of data analysis obtained a significant level (sig) < 0,05, namely 0,000 < 0,05, which indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted in this study. The mean that learning using the ECIRR learning model greatly influences the critical thinking skills of students in class V at SDN 2 Karang Anyar Jati Agung Lampung Selatan where there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class.
