Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini adalah penelitian jenis korelasional simetris yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas IV MIN 7 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV MIN 7 Bandar Lampung yang berjumlah 98 peserta didik dengan sampel penelitian kelas IVA yang berjumlah 34 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan instrumen angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis korelasi product moment dan koefisien determinasi, dengan sebelumnya dilakukan uji prasyarat menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji lineritas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara persepsi peserta didik tentang kompetensi guru dengan motivasi belajar peserta didik, dimana diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig (2-Tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dengan rhitung sebesar 0,889, sedangkan rtabel sebesar 0,339 dengan N=34 dan taraf signifikansi 0,05 (5%). Jadi, dapat diketahui bahwa rhitung > rtabel, yaitu sebesar (0,889 > 0,339). Berdasarkan nilai rhitung dapat di interprestasikan bahwa hubungan antara kedua variabel berada pada kategori tinggi. Sedangkan hasil analisis koefisien determinasi diketahui nilai KD= 0,791 atau 79,10%, yang berarti bahwa motivasi belajar peserta didik dipengaruhi atau tentukan oleh persepsi peserta didik tentang kompetensi guru sebesar 79,10%. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional dan Motivasi Belajar iii ABSTRACT This research is a symmetrical correlation type research which aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation of students of class IV MIN 7 Bandar Lampung. This research is a quantitative research with correlational method. The population in this study were students of class IV MIN 7 Bandar Lampung, totaling 98 students with a research sample of class IVA totaling 34 students. The data collection technique used in this study is by using questionnaires and documentation instruments. The data analysis technique uses the product moment correlation hypothesis test and the coefficient of determination, with prerequisite tests previously carried out using the normality test and linearity test. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between students' perceptions of teacher competence and students' learning motivation, where Asymp scores are obtained. Sig (2-Tailed) is 0.000 <0.05 with an rcount of 0.889, while the rtable is 0.339 with N=34 and a significance level of 0.05 (5%). So, it can be seen that rcount > rtable, which is (0.889 > 0.339). Based on the rcount value, it can be interpreted that the relationship between the two variables is in the high category. While the results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination show that KD = 0.791 or 79.10%, which means that students' learning motivation is influenced or determined by students' perceptions of teacher competence by 79.10%.
