Abstract
ABSTRAK Kecerdasan emosional merupakan perkembangan kecerdasan yang dimiliki oleh anak dan sangat perlu diperhatikan oleh orang tua karena hal ini akan berpengaruh terhadapnya. Bentuk perhatian dalam kecerdasan emosional dapat dilakukan oleh keluarga khususnya orang tua sebagai orang yang terdekat hendaknya mampu untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional secara maksimal. Namun beberapa orang tua di TK Insan Cemerlang belum menyadari dan mengetahui terkait pentingya kecerdasan emosional bagi anak. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujan untuk Untuk mengetahui kecerdasan emosional anak di TK Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu dan peran orang tua dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan anak di TK Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif ini bersifat deskriptif dan menggunakan analisis data. Adapun subyek penelitian adalah responden dan informan yang dapat memberikan informasi tentang masalah yang diteliti di Tk Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu, yaitu lima (5) perwakilan orang tua dari anak usia dini dan lima (5) anak usia dini di TK Insan Cemerlang di kelompok A1. Objek penelitian ini adalah masalah yang di teliti yaitu terkait pengembangan kecerdasan emosional anak usida dini serta peran orang tua dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional anak usia dini di Tk Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu. Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dengan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) Kecerdasan emosional anak usida dini di TK Insan Cemerlang masih perlu untuk ditingkatkan lagi. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa anak-anak di TK Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu anak-anak pada aspek kecerdasan emosional masih pada kategori BB (Belum Berkembang) dan MB (Mulai Berkembang). Hasil tersebut didapatkan dari observasi yang dilaksnakan oleh peneliti di di TK Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu. Setelah di analisa maka di dapati bahwa masih perlu peningkatan dalam aspek kesadaran diri, mengelola emosi, Memanfaatkan emosi secara produktif (Memotivasi diri sendiri), Empati (Mengenali emosi iv orang lain), serta Membina hubungan baik dengan orang lain. 2) Peran orang tua dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional anak di Sekolah Taman Kanak-kanak dan Play Group Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu juga dilaksanakan dengan cukup baik, yaitu orang tua akan menasehati anaknya jika sedang marah, membiasakan anak untuk saling memaafkan, saling berbagi, dan mengucapkan terima kasih jika diberikan sesuatu atau bantuan oleh orang lain. Orang tua sudah memehami bahwa sebenarnya orangtua memiliki empat peranan dalam membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak�anak. Seperti menjadi teladan dan contoh yang baik untuk anak�anaknya ketika dirumah, menjadi pembimbing dan pembina untuk anak saat dirumah, memberikan pengawasan dan mengontrol kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh anak ketika dirumah, dan sebagai fasilitator yang baik untuk anak-anak ketika dirumah. Kata kunci : Kecerdasan emosional anak usia dini, Peran orang tua v ABSTRACT Emotional intelligence is the development of intelligence possessed by children and parents really need to pay attention because this will affect them. Forms of attention in emotional intelligence can be done by the family, especially parents as the closest people should be able to develop emotional intelligence to the fullest. However, some parents at Insan Cemerlang Kindergarten do not realize and know about the importance of emotional intelligence for children. So this research aims to determine the emotional intelligence of children in Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten and the role of parents in developing children's intelligence in Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten. This study aims to determine the emotional intelligence of children at Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten and the role of parents in developing children's intelligence at Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten. In this study, researchers used a qualitative research approach. This qualitative research is descriptive in nature and uses data analysis. The research subjects were respondents and informants who could provide information about the problems studied at Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten, namely five (5) representatives of parents of early childhood and five (5) early childhood at Insan Cemerlang Kindergarten in group A1. The object of this research is the problem that is examined, namely related to the development of emotional intelligence in early childhood and the role of parents in developing emotional intelligence in early childhood at Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten. Methods of collection the data that used by researchers was observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are 1) The emotional intelligence of early childhood in Insan Cemerlang Kindergarten still needs to be improved. Based on the research data, it was found that children in the Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten, children in the aspect of emotional intelligence were still in the BB (Not Yet Developing) and MB (Beginning to Develop) categories. These results were obtained from observations carried out by researchers at Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten. After being analyzed, it was found that there vi is still a need for improvement in aspects of self-awareness, managing emotions, using emotions productively (motivating yourself), empathy (recognizing the emotions of others), and fostering good relationships with others. 2) The role of parents in developing children's emotional intelligence at the Kindergarten School and Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Play Group is also carried out quite well, namely parents will advise their children when they are angry, get used to children to forgive each other, share, and say thank you love if given something or help by others. Parents already understand that actually parents have four roles in helping the growth and development of children. Such as being a role model and a good example for their children when they are at home, being a guide and coach for children when they are at home, providing supervision and controlling the activities carried out by children when they are at home, and being a good facilitator for children when they are at home.
