Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem solving in learning mathematics is an ability that must be mastered in order to solve mathematical problems. Based on pre-research at SMPN 1 Tanjung Bintang, South Lampung, it shows that the ability to solve math problems is still low, this is shown by the results of the math problem solving ability test. This research is a Quasi Experimental Design quantitative research. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMPN 1 Tanjung Bintang. The sample in this study used a random sampling technique, namely class VIII F and G. The data collection technique in this study was in the form of a math problem solving ability test and an environmental literacy questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is ANOVA with a significant level of 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis, the first conclusion is that there is an influence of the IMPROVE learning model on the ability to solve mathematical problems in terms of environmental literacy, shown by class comparisons that the mathematical problem solving abilities of the experimental class are higher than the control class, the second conclusion is that there is no effect of environmental literacy on mathematical problem solving abilities , indicated by a significance of 0.606 more than 0.00, then the third conclusion is that there is no interaction between the IMPROVE learning model and the environmental literacy category on students' mathematical problem solving abilities indicated by a significant value of 0.550 more than 0.05. Keywords: Environmental Literacy, IMPROVE, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability. iv ABSTRAK Pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan suatu kemampuan yang harus dikuasai guna menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika. Berdasarkan pra penelitian di SMPN1 Tanjung Bintang Lampung Selatan menunjukan bahwa kemampuan pemeahan masalah matematika masih rendah, hal ini ditunjukuan oleh hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif Quasi Eksperimental Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN1 Tanjung Bintang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tehnik random sampling yaitu kelas VIII F dan G. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan angket literasi lingkungan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu ANAVA dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh kesimpulan pertama terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran IMPROVE terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika diyinjau dari literasi lingkungan, ditunjukan dengan perbandingan kelas bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol, kesimpulan kedua tidak terdapat pengaruh literasi lingkungan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, ditunjukan dengan signifikasi 0,606 lebih dari 0,00, selanjutya kesimpulan ketiga tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran IMPROVE dengan kategori literasi lingkungan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika peserta didik ditunjukan dengan hasil nilai signifikan 0,550 lebih dari 0,05.
