Abstract

ABSTRAK Memiliki self esteem positif merupakan suatu perasaan yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap peserta didik sebagai pendukung dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar serta membangun hubungan sosial dilingkungan sekitar. Harga diri yang positif dapat mengatasi kesulitan dalam hidup individu. Namun, pada kenyataannya di SMPN 2 Pubian Lampung Tengah masih terdapat peserta didik yang memiliki self esteem rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling kelompok dengan teknik role playing terhadap self-esteem peserta didik di SMPN 2 Pubian Lampung Tengah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan Pre Eksperimental Design dalam bentuk One Group Pretest Postest Design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan angket. Proses pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan populasi yaitu peserta didik kelas IX dan sampel sebanyak 8 peserta didik kelas IX yang memiliki permasalahan self-esteem rendah. Didapatkan hasil pretest dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 52,5 (kategori rendah) dan hasil nilai rata-rata posttest didapatkan sebesar 91,5 (kategori tinggi). Berdasarkan uji hipotesis menggunakan rumus uji Wilcoxon, diketahui Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) dengan nilai 0,012 serta taraf signifikan 5%. Karena 0,012 < 0,05 maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa Ha diterima. Sehingga dari penelitian ini dapat dinyatakan bahwa konseling kelompok dengan teknik role playing terdapat pengaruh terhadap self esteem peserta didik di SMP Negeri 2 Pubian Lampung Tengah. Kata Kunci: Konseling Kelompok, Role Playing, Self Esteem. iii ABSTRACT Having positive self-esteem is a valuable feeling towards the individual self that must be owned by students as a supporter in teaching and learning activities and building social relationships with the surroundings. Positive self-esteem can overcome difficulties in individual's life. However, at SMPN 2 Pubian Central Lampung there are still some students who have low self-esteem. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services with role playing techniques to increase the self-esteem of students at SMPN 2 Pubian Lampung Tengah. The type of research used in this research is quantitative approach with Pre Experimental Design in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection techniques used are interviews and questionnaires. The sampling process used purposive sampling, with population of IX grade students. The researcher took sample of 8 students from IX grade students who had self-esteem problems. The pretest gave result score with an average value of 52.5 (low category) and a posttest was conducted and it gave an average value of 91.5 (high category). The hypothesis test of this research uses the Wilcoxon test formula, and it is known that Asymp. Signature. (2- tailed) with a value of 0.012 and a significant level of 5%. Because 0.012 < 0.05, it can be concluded that Ha is acceptable. So from this study it can be stated that group counseling with role playing techniques is effective in increasing the self-esteem of students at SMP Negeri 2 Pubian Lampung Tengah.
