Abstract

ABSTRAK Kinerja guru merupakan problematika dunia pendidikan yang meniscayakan berbagai upaya untuk peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Sebab, peningkatan kualitas pendidikan berbanding lurus dengan peningkatan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa upaya kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di MIN 4 Bandar Lampung. Permasalahan dalam penilitian ini adalah masih adanya guru dengan ijazah SMA dan juga masih adanya guru yang mengajar tidak sesuai dengan bidang keahliannya. Indikator peningkatan kinerja guru dalam penelitian ini adalah memberi motivasi kerja, memberi reward, memberi punishment, memberi konsultasi, melakukan kunjungan kelas, meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui pelatihan dan penataran, dan menerapkan kerja aktif dan kreatif. Pada indikator-indikator tersebut terdapat beberapa indikator yang pelaksanaannya belum maksimal, yaitu melakukan kunjungan kelas dan menerapkan kerja aktif dan kreatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Perolehan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan cara mereduksi data, setelah itu disajikan dalam bentuk deskripsi dan diverifikasi dengan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 7 indikator yang diterapkan kepala mandrasah dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja guru di MIN 4 Bandar Lampung. Indikator-indikator tersebut adalah memberi motivasi kerja, memberi reward, memberi punishment, memberi konsultasi, melakukan kunjungan kelas, meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui pelatihan dan penataran, dan menerapkan kerja aktif dan kreatif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini berdampak positif, yaitu guru menjadi lebih bersemangat dan disiplin dalam menjalankan tugas dan kwajibannya. Sehingga berdampak pada meningkatnya kualitas kerja guru di MIN 4 Bandar Lampung. Kata kunci: kinerja guru. iii ABSTRAC Teacher performance is a problem in the world of education that entrusts various efforts to improve the quality of education. This is because improved the quality of education was directly proportional to improved teacher performance. This study was to analyze the efforts of madrasah headmaster to improved teacher performance at MIN 4 Bandar Lampung. The problem in this research were there are still teachers with high school diplomas and also there are still teachers who teach not in accordance with their field of expertise. Indicators of improved and teacher performance in this study were provided work motivation, reward, gived, punishment, gived consultations, conducted class visits, improved teacher performance through training and upgrade, and implemented active and creative work. In these indicators, there are several indicators whose implemented was not been optimal, namely conducted class visits and implemented active and creative work. This research was used a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data acquisition was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Analysis of the data used in this study by means of reducing the data, after which it is presented in the form of a description and verified by drawing conclusions. The results of this study was indicated that there are 7 indicators applied by the head of the mandrasah in an effort to improved teacher performance at MIN 4 Bandar Lampung. These indicators were provided work motivation, gived reward, punishment, consultations, conducted class visits, improved teacher performance through training and upgrading, as well as implemented active and creative work. The implicatied of this research was a positive impact, namely teachers become more enthusiastic and disciplined in carrying out their duties and obligations. So that it was an impact on improved the quality of teacher work at MIN 4 Bandar Lampung. Keyword: Teacher performance.
