Abstract

ABSTRAK KAJIAN ANALISIS DORMANSI PADA TUMBUHAN Oleh : Devi Nata Ismiati 1711060019 Fisiologi atau ilmu faal meruapakan salah satu cabang biologi yang mempelajari berlangsugnya sistem kehidupan. Fisiologi memiliki beberapa subbidang. Fisiologi tumbuhan mengkaji tentang bagaimana proses metabolisme pada tumbuhan terjadi, salah satunya adalah Dormansi. Dormansi adalah masa istirahat atau keadaan benih pada fase istirahat namun masih melangsungkan proses metabolisme seperti respirasi. Benih dapat dikatakan dorman apabila benih tersebut tidak berkecambah waupun sudah berada pada lingkungan yang mendukung atau ideal untuk perkecambahan. Sasaran pada penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Raden Intan Lampung khusunya pada prodi pendidikan biologi. Sehingga tujuan dari penulisan Modul ini untuk mengetahui Dormansi pada tumbuhan. Dormansi adalah masa istirahat atau keadaan benih pada fase istirahat namun masih melangsungkan proses metabolisme seperti respirasi. Benih dapat dikatakan dorman apabila benih tersebut tidak berkecambah waupun sudah berada pada lingkungan yang mendukung atau ideal untuk perkecambahan. Dormansi pada benih dapat berlangsung selama beberapa hari, semusim bahkan sampai beberapa tahun tergantung pada jenis tanaman dan dormansinya. Dormansi juga merupakan suatu prinsip kerja dari biji tanaman untuk mempertahankan terhadap suhu yang rendah pada musim dingin, bahkan pada suhu yang lebih panas. Proses pertumbuhan tidak akan terjadi selama benih belum melalui masa dormansinya, atau sebelum diberi suatu perlakuan khusus terhadap benih. Kata kunci: Analisis. Physiology has several subfields. Plant physiology examines how metabolic processes occur in plants, one of which is Dormancy. Dormancy is the resting period or the state of the seed in the resting phase but still carrying out metabolic processes such as respiration. Seeds can be said to be dormant if the seeds do not germinate even though they are already in an environment that supports or is ideal for germination. The targets of this study were students of the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of UIN Raden Intan Lampung, especially in biology education study programs. So the purpose of writing this module to determine dormancy in plants. Dormancy is the resting period or the state of the seed in the resting phase but still carrying out metabolic processes such as respiration. Seeds can be said to be dormant if the seeds do not germinate even though they are already in an environment that supports or is ideal for germination. Dormancy in seeds can last for several days, a season, even up to several years depending on the type of plant and its dormancy. Dormancy is also a working principle of plant seeds to defend against low temperatures in winter, even at hotter temperatures.
