Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF USING ELLLO APPLICATION TOWARD STUDENTS’ LISTENING SKILL AT THE SECOND SEMESTER OF ELEVENTH-GRADE OF MAN 1 BANDAR LAMPUNG IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022 In the English learning process, students encounter various problems. The problems caused by students are lack of grammar, vocabulary, lack of motivation to learn, and others. In listening learning, the teacher does not use interesting media, therefore the ELLLO (English Listening Lesson Library Online) application is a supporting media in listening learning that is used in this research. Meanwhile, the aim of this study is to determine The Influence of Using the ELLLO Application Toward Students' Listening Skills in The Second Semester of Eleventh-Grade of MAN 1 Bandar Lampung in the Academic Year 2021/2022. The research methodology applied a Quasi-Experimental design. In this research, the population was the eleventh grade of MAN 1 Bandar Lampung. The sample of the research was two classes consisting of 33 students of XI MIA 1 as an experimental class and 31 students of XI MIA 3 as a control class. ELLLO Application was implemented in the experimental class and Audio Recording was applied to the control class. in collecting the data, this research used instruments from try-out tests about explanation text. A pre-test was given for both classes before the treatment. Then, after the treatment was conducted, the post-test was given. In this research manage two raters in judging students’ scores and SPPS version 25 was used in statistical computation. After the post-test was given, this research analyzed the data of both the pre-test and post-test. The result of the data analysis showed that the independent t-test result was 0.000 which was <0.05. Therefore, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the computation, it can be concluded that there was a significant influence of using the ELLLO Application on students’ listening skills in the second semester of the eleventh class of MAN 1 Bandar Lampung in the academic year of 2021/2022.
