Abstract

ABSTRAK Di lingkungan Pesantren semua elemen yang ada didalamnya seperti guru, santri, pengurus membangun sebuah hubungan sosial yang didasarkan pada moralitas agama. Ketundukan seorang santri kepada seorang guru bukan disebabkan adanya sebuah pemaksaan oleh pihak-pihak tertentu tapi muncul karena keikhlasan seorang santri untuk mengabdi kepada guru. Merujuk dari hubungan sosial tersebut, tidak semua hubungan sosial itu terjalin dengan baik seperti adanya tingkah laku, maladaptif yang timbul di dalam hubungan sosial contohnya sikap acuh kepada orang lain, merasa arogan dan merasa orang lain lebih rendah dari dirinya. Dikarenakan hal tersebut dibutuhkannya sebuah upaya seorang konselor dalam meningkatkan hubungan sosial santri yang baik dengan menggunakan tahapan konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan rational emotive behavior therapy untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kefektifan tahapan tersebut guna meningkatkan hubungan sosial santri. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi tahapan pelaksanaan konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan rational emotive behavior therapy serta hasil dari pelaksanaan layanan tersebut dalam meningkatkan hubungan sosial santri di Pondok Pesantren Darul Huffaz. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (flied research) dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, informan yang terpilih yaitu 12 (dua belas) orang yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) orang kepengurusan Pondok Pesantren Darul Huffaz yang meliputi ketua, konselor, staf administrasi dan sekertariat Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Pondok Pesantren Darul Huffaz, dan 8 (delapan) orang santri putra kelas X. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi dan analisis data dengan menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan akhir dari teori tahapan konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan REBT dalam meningkatkan hubungan sosial santri di Pondok Pesantren Darul Huffaz Kabupaten Pesawaran dalam penelitian ini dikatakan cukup berhasil. Bahwa konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan rational emotive behavior therapy untuk meningkatkan hubungan sosial santri mendapatkan hasil yang sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan, dilihat dari adanya perubahan pada sikap dan tingkah laku konseli menjadi lebih baik dalam membangun hubungan sosial terhadap santri yang lain, menyayangi serta berlemah lembut terhadap sesamanya, kemudian lebih patuh dan menghargai iii serta bersikap sopan terhadap ustadz dan ustadzah di Pondok Pesantren Daarul Huffaz dengan tahapan (1) Pembentukan Kelompok; (2) Peralihan; (3) Kegiatan; (4) Penutupan; (5) Mengevaluasi Kelompok; dan (6) Sesi Tindak Lanjut/ follow up. Kata Kunci: Konseling Kelompok, Pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Hubungan Sosial iv ABSTRACT In the Islamic Boarding School environment, the teacher or ustadz is a central figure who becomes a role model for students to gain knowledge about religion and life lessons. In that school, students should imitate the nature and behavior of the teacher. In the Islamic Boarding School environment, all elements in it such as teachers, students, and administrators build a social relationship based on religious morality. This is because all elements of the Islamic Boarding School assume that life in this school is an inseparable part of the totality of worship to God. The submission of a student to a teacher is not due to coercion by certain parties but arises because of the sincerity of a student to serve the teacher. The submission of a santri to the teacher who teaches them lessons is the moral values that exist in the Islamic Boarding School. This respect for the teacher is carried out by the students as a form of gratitude because the teacher has become a source of knowledge for them. However, there are problems with students who have low social relations, which can be seen from the maladaptive behavior that occurs in students. Due to this, a counselor's effort is needed in improving good social relations in students by using the stages of group counseling with a rational emotive behavior therapy approach to find out how effective these stages are to improve student's social relationships This research was conducted to explore the stages of the implementation of group counseling with the rational emotive behavior therapy approach and the results of the implementation of the service in improving the social relations of students at Darul Huffaz Boarding School. This research is field research (flied research) using a descriptive qualitative approach. Subjects in the research were determined by using the purposive sampling technique, the selected informants were 12 people who were obtained from 4 people from the management of Darul Huffaz boarding school, which includes the chairman, counselor, administrative staff and secretariat of Madrasah aliyah (MA) Darul Huffaz boarding school, and 8 people from the class 10 male students. Data collection through observation, interview, documentation and data analysis. By using a data validity test called source triangulation. In group counseling with the REBT approach that has been done with six stages of group formation, among others, the transitional stage, the activity stage, the closing stage, the stage of v evaluating the group and the follow-up session. The final result of the group counseling stage with the REBT approach in improving the social relations of students at Darul Huffaz Boarding School, Pesawaran Regency in this research is said to be quite successful, which results can be seen from the change in the attitude and behavior of the counselors to become better in building social relations towards other santri, love and be gentle towards others, then be more obedient and respectful and polite towards the ustadz and ustadzah in the Daarul Huffaz boarding school.
