Abstract

ABSTRAK Musik menjadi salah satu media komunikasi yang digunakan seorang pencipta lagu untuk menyampaikan perasaannya kepada pendengar. Dimana sifat dari musik itu sendiri tidak hanya sekadar menghibur, tetapi dapat juga memberikan sebuah pengetahuan dan informasi. BTS menjadi salah satu grup musik yang kerap menyisipkan sebuah pesan positif dalam lagu-lagunya, tetapi dengan tidak secara eksplisit dan membuat kita harus menggunakan aktivitas baca-tafsir untuk memahaminya. Seperti dalam salah satu lagu mereka yang berjudul ‘So What’. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan makna pesan moral yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu ‘So What’ karya BTS berdasarkan analisis teori Semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menitikberatkan pada analisis atau interpretasi bahan tertulis berdasarkan konteksnya, yaitu pemaknaan pesan moral yang disampaikan BTS untuk pendengar lagu mereka. Data dari penelitian ini adalah lirik lagu yang berjudul ‘So What’ dalam album Love Yourself : Tear. Teori yang menjadi dasar penelitian ini adalah teori Semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure yang berfokus pada dua elemen utama yaitu signifier (penanda) dan signified (petanda). Metode dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, metode studi kepustakaan dan dokumentasi dimana teknik yang digunakan yaitu, teknik rekam, teknik simak, dan teknik catat. Hasil penelitian menggunakan teori Semiotika milik Ferdinand De Saussure, peneliti mendapat temuan bahwa signifier (penanda) dan signified (petanda) yang ada dalam lirik lagu ‘So What’ pada album Love Yourself : Tear karya BTS mengandung sebuah makna yang mencerminkan berbagai pesan moral dalam satu lagu. Klasifikasi pesan moral berdasarkan teori Burhan Nurgiyantoro, beberapa pesan moral tersebut antara lain adalah ajakan untuk selalu bekerja keras, pantang menyerah dan sabar dalam menghadapi masalah, senantiasa percaya kepada diri sendiri, serta selalu berpikir positif. Melalui lagu tersebut, banyak tanda tanda yang dapat direpresentasikan dan kemudian ditemukan nilai moral yang dapat diterapkan kedalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Where the nature of music itself is not only entertaining, but can also provide knowledge and information. BTS is one of the music groups that often inserts a positive message in their songs, but without being explicit and making us have to use reading-interpretation activities to understand them. As in one of their songs entitled 'So What'. This study aims to describe the meaning of the moral message contained in the lyrics of the song 'So What' by BTS based on the analysis of Ferdinand De Saussure's theory of Semiotics. This research are used by descriptive qualitative, with an emphasis on the analysis or interpretation of written materials based on the context, namely the meaning of the moral messages conveyed by BTS to their song listeners. The data from this study are the lyrics of a song entitled 'So What' in the album Love Yourself: Tear. The theory that forms the basis of this research is Ferdinand De Saussure's theory of Semiotics which focuses on two main elements, namely the signifier and the signified. Data collection methods and techniques used in this research are library and documentation study methods where the techniques used are recording techniques, listening techniques, and note-taking techniques. The results of the study using Ferdinand De Saussure's Semiotics theory, the researchers found that the signifier and signified in the lyrics of the song 'So What' on the album Love Yourself: Tear by BTS contain a meaning that reflects various moral messages in one song. Classification of moral messages based on Burhan Nurgiyantoro's theory, some of these moral messages include an invitation to always work hard, never give up and be patient in dealing with problems, always believe in yourself, and always think positively.
