Abstract

ABSTRAK Tanaman sawi merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman hortikultura yang berumur pendek. Tanaman sawi hijau varietas kumala banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai bahan makanan sayuran seperti capcay, sawi hijau juga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sayuran obat bagi masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea var. kumala) menggunakan pupuk organik cair eceng gondok dan bonggol pisang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dua faktor yang disusun secara faktorial. Penelitian dilakukan selama 30 hari. Pemberian nutrisi dilakukan setiap 1 minggu sekali dan parameter yang diukur yaitu tinggi tanaman, lebar daun, panjang daun, luas daun, jumlah daun, berat basah tanaman, berat kering tanaman, berat basah akar, dan berat kering akar. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Two Way Anova SPSS 20 dan uji lanjut Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) dengan taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian terdapat perbedaan pemberian pupuk organik cair bonggol pisang dan pupuk organik cair eceng gondok terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea var. kumala). The green mustard variety of kumala is widely used by the community as a vegetable food ingredient such as capcay, green mustard can also be used as a medicinal vegetable for the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in vegetative growth of mustard (Brassica juncea var. kumala) plants using liquid organic fertilizer of water hyacinth and banana weevil. The method used is a two factor randomized block design (RAK). The study was conducted for 30 days. Nutrition was given once a week and the parameters measured were plant height, leaf width, leaf length, leaf area, number of leaves, plant wet weight, plant dry weight, root wet weight, and root dry weight. The data were analyzed using the Two Way Anova SPSS 20 test and the Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) advanced test with a level of 5%. The results showed that there were differences in the application of liquid organic fertilizer for banana weevil and liquid organic fertilizer for water hyacinth on the vegetative growth of mustard (Brassica juncea var. kumala).
