Abstract

ABSTRAK MA Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung merupakan lembaga pendidikan Islam di bawah naungan yayasan Al-Hikmah, yang termasuk sekolah swasta dan tengah berkembang maupun bersaing dengan beberapa lembaga pendidikan sederajat di kota Lampung. Kondisi ini menuntut untuk selalu berusaha meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Kepala madrasah memiliki peranan amat penting untuk mengendalikan maupun menggerakkan seluruh warga sekolah demi mewujudkan cita-cita bersama. Salah satu cita-cita bersama pada lembaga pendidikan ialah mutu pendidikan, adapun mutu pendidikan sesuatu yang harus diperjuangkan dan dipertahankan. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MA Al-Hikmah terkait dengan indikator input, proses, output pendidikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan dilaksanakan di MA Al-Hikmah, pada bulan Mei 2022. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala MA, sedangkan informannya adalah Kepala Tata Usaha dan tenaga pendidik. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dalam penguji keabsahan data digunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan metode. Sedangkan analisis data mengunakan analisis kualitatif interaktif dengan langkahlangkah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya kepala madrasah dalam memajukan mutu pendidikan di MA Al�Hikmah dilihat pada indikator input, proses, output. Banyaknya prestasi-prestasi yang sudah diraih baik dalam tingkat provinsi, nasional maupun internasional. Adapun upaya kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan kaitanya indikator input ialah menyiapkan pendidik yang profesional, baik melalui pembinaan, diskusi maupun rapat, seminar akademik, mengikutsertakan pelatihan, workshop, dan diklat, dalam menyempurnakan strategi rekrutmen siswa melalui promosi. Upaya kepala MA Al-Hikmah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan kaitanya indikator proses ialah mengondisikan lingkungan pembelajaran yang aman, nyaman, dan menstimulasi dalam belajar, membuat program-program sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa diantaranya; kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, memberikan motivasi belajar kepada guru maupun siswa. Upaya kepala MA Al-Hikmah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan iii kaitanya indikator output, ialah berusaha untuk berprestasi dalam akademik dan non akademik. Kata Kunci : Upaya Kepala Madrasah, Mutu Pendidikan iv ABSTRACT MA Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung is an Islamic educational institution under the auspices of the Al-Hikmah foundation, which is a private school and is currently developing and competing with several equivalent educational institutions in the city of Lampung. This condition demands to always try to improve the quality of education. The principal of the madrasa has a very important role to control and mobilize all school members to realize common goals. One of the shared goals of educational institutions is the quality of education, while the quality of education is something that must be fought for and maintained. For this reason, this study aims to determine the efforts of the head of madrasa in improving the quality of education at MA Al-Hikmah related to indicators of input, process, and output of education. This research is a qualitative descriptive study and was carried out at MA Al-Hikmah, in May 2022. The subject in this study was the Head of the MA, while the informants were the Head of Administration and educators. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. In testing the validity of the data used triangulation techniques sources and methods. While the data analysis used interactive qualitative analysis with steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the efforts of the head of madrasa in advancing the quality of education at MA Al�Hikmah are seen in the input, process, and output indicators. Many achievements have been achieved at the provincial, national and international levels. The efforts of madrasah heads in improving the quality of education related to input indicators are preparing professional educators, either through coaching, discussions or meetings, academic seminars, including training, workshops, and training, in perfecting student recruitment strategies through promotions. The efforts of the head of MA Al-Hikmah in improving the quality of education related to process indicators are to condition a safe, comfortable, and stimulating learning environment in learning, to make programs according to the needs of students including; extracurricular activities, providing learning motivation to teachers and students. The effort of the head of MA Al-Hikmah in improving the quality of education in relation to output indicators is trying to excel in academics and non-academics.
