Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan nasional tidak hanya bertujuan untuk menjadikan seorang peserta didik cerdas secara intelektual, namun pendidikan juga bertujuan untuk menjadikan siswa cerdas secara sosial dan berkarakter. Akan tetapi Siswa yang ada di sekolah SD Negeri 2 Karang Agung Kecamatan Way Tenong Kabupaten Lampung Barat masih kurang berkarakter dalam proses belajar didalam kelas seperti siswa yang tidak dapat menghargai guru, tidak mengerjakan pekerjaan rumah (PR), mencontek dan tidak memperhatikan apa yang disampaikan guru pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung, sehingga siswa masih kurang memahami materi pada saat ingin mengerjakan soal, dikarenakan ada juga peserta didik yang lebih senang main-main sambil belajar contohnya saat guru menjelaskan didepan peserta didik asik main sendiri, dan ada juga yang melihat gurunya dengan sungguh-sungguh tetapi Ketika diuji dengan pertanyaan peserta didik tidak bisa menjawab dengan baik. Pendidik masih sering menggunakan metode ceramah serta nasihat dalam proses pembelajaran, dikarenakan media pembelajaran kurang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peran Pendidik dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik dan mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat peran pendidik dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik (Studi kasus SD Negeri 2 Karang Agung Kecamatan Way Tenong Kabupaten Lampung Barat). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, instrumen, pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi waktu dan triangulasi sumber. Sumber data yang diperoleh dari informan yaitu guru kelas, kepala sekolah, peserta didik. Dalam penelitian ini yang dilaksanakan di Sekolah SD Negeri 2 Karang Agung Kecamatan Way Tenong Kabupaten Lampung Barat, peneliti mendapatkan jawaban peran pendidik dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik, yaitu : motivator , komunikator , fasilitator, pengelola kelas, pendidik, pengajar, pelatih, cinta peserta didik, administrator, sponsor, kolektor, informator, inisiator, demonstrator, mediator, supervisor, dan evaluator. Adapun kendala yang peneliti temui yaitu ada dua faktor penunjang dan penghambat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa peran pendidik akan menggambarkan pola tingkahlaku yang akan diharapkan dalam intraksi siswa dengan pendidik, karakter yang kaitanya dengan iii Pendidikan memang hampir sama pengertiannya dengan akhak bedanya karakter yang ada dalam Pendidikan ini yaitu , jujur, kasih sayang disiplin, moral dan tanggung jawab, dengan demikian sekolah sebagai Lembaga Pendidikan mempunyai tugas tidak hanya mencerdaskan namun juga membentuk karakter peserta didik. Akan tetapi peran pendidik yang ada di SD Negeri 2 Karang Agung Kecamatan Way Tenong Kabupaten Lampung Barat masih kurang dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik dikarenakan peran pendidik yang seharusnya menjadi panutan untuk peserta didiknya dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter melalui lingkungan sekolah dan proses pembelajaran akan tetapi pendidik yang ada di SD Negeri 2 karang Agung yang mempunyai nilai karakter kurang baik dan belum efisien sehingga mempengaruhi karakter siswa yang ada dilingkungan sekolah tersebut. However, students at State Elementary School 2 Karang Agung, Way Tenong District, West Lampung Regency are still lacking in character in the learning process in the classroom such as students who cannot respect teachers, do not do homework, cheat and do not pay attention to what is conveyed. The teacher during the learning process, so that students still do not understand the material when they want to work on the problem, because there are also students who prefer to play around while learning, for example, when the teacher explains in front of students it is cool to play alone, and there are also those who see the teacher seriously. Really but tested with questions the students could not answer well. Teachers still often use the lecture method and advice in the learning process, because the learning media is lacking. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of classroom teachers in shaping the character of students and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of the role of classroom teachers in shaping the character of students (Case Study of State Elementary School 2 Karang Agung, Way Tenong District, West Lampung Regency). The method used in this study is a qualitative method, the instrument, data collection used is observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of data obtained from informants are class teachers, principals, students. In this study, which was conducted at the State Elementary School 2 Karang Agung, Way Tenong District, West Lampung Regency, researchers got answers to the role of classroom teachers in shaping the character of students, namely: motivator, communicator, facilitator, class manager, educator, teacher, coach, love students, administrators, sponsors, collectors, informants, initiators, demonstrators, mediators, supervisors, and evaluators. The obstacles that the researchers encountered were that there were two supporting and inhibiting factors. The results of this study indicate that the role of the classroom teacher will describe the pattern of behavior that will be expected in the interaction of students with teachers, the character that is related to education is almost the same in meaning as the different character in this education, namely honesty, compassion, v discipline, morals and responsibility. Responsible, thus schools as educational institutions have the task of not only educating but also shaping the character of students. However, the role of classroom teachers at State Elementary School 2 Karang Agung, Way Tenong District, West Lampung Regency is still lacking in shaping the character of students because the teacher’s role should be a role model for students by instilling character values through the school environment and the learning process will but the teachers at the State Elementary School 2 Karang Agung who have bad character values that affect the character of students in the school environment.
