Abstract

BSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perbedaan kualitas hidup lansia yang tinggal di keluarga dengan lansia yang tinggal di Panti Jompo Tresna Werdha Natar. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah pada saat ini Provinsi Lampung berada di urutan ke enam terbanyak pada presentase penduduk tua yakni 10,22 persen atau berjumlah 880.035 penduduk lansia. Adanya pertambahan penduduk lansia yang besar maka kondisi kesehatan, potensi ekonomi, keadaan sosial penduduk lansia terhadap berbagai perlindungan perlu diperhatikan karena akan berpengaruh terhadap kualitas hidup lansia. Lingkungan tempat mereka tinggal juga menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas hidup lansia. Umumnya lansia tinggal bersama dengan keluarga, tetapi tidak sedikit pula lansia yang tinggal di panti sosial atau panti jompo. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan prasurvey peneliti terdapat perbedaan kualitas hidup lansia pada keempat domain yakni domain fisik, psikologis, hubungan sosial, dan lingkungan lansia yang tinggal di keluarga dengan yang tinggal di panti jompo. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan analisis komparatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia yang tinggal di Panti Jompo Tresna Werdha Natar sebanyak 67 orang dan lansia yang tinggal di Kelurahan Gedong Meneng sebanyak 241 orang. Adapun sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 60 orang lansia yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling terdiri dari 30 orang lansia yang tinggal di panti Jompo Tresna Werdha Natar dan 30 orang lansia yang tinggal di keluarga kelurahan Gedong Meneng. Analisis data menggunakan independent sampel t-test. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah melalui kuesioner, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji independent sampel t-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kualitas hidup umum lansia yang tinggal di keluarga di Kelurahan Gedong Meneng dan lansia yang tinggal di panti jompo Tresna Werdha Natar (p-value = 0.000). Terdapat perbedaan kualitas hidup lansia yang ditinjau dari aspek fisik (p-value = 0.002), aspek psikologis (p-value = 0.000), aspek lingkungan (0.000), namun tidak terdapat perbedaan pada aspek sosial iii (p-value = 0.859). Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kualitas hidup lansia antara yang tinggal di keluarga dengan lansia yang tinggal dipanti jompo dimana kualitas hidup secara keseluruhan lansia yang tinggal dikeluarga lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan lansia yang tinggal di panti jompo. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi pihak terkait agar selalu meningkatkan kinerja serta memberikan pelayanan secara menyeluruh kepada lansia ditempat tinggalnya khususnya pada kesehatan fisik dan psikologis lansia. Kata Kunci: Kualitas Hidup Lansia, Lanjut Usia. iv ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the differences in the quality of life of the elderly living in families with the elderly living in Tresna Werdha Natar Nursing Home. The problem in this study is that currently Lampung Province ranks sixth most in the elderly population presentation, which is 10.22 percent or 880,035 elderly people. There is a large increase in the elderly population so health conditions, economic potential, social conditions of the elderly population to various protection needs to be observed because it will affect the quality of life of the elderly. The environment in which they live is also a factor influencing the quality of life of the elderly. Generally the elderly live together with the family, but not a few elderly people live in social homes or nursing homes. Based on the results of the researcher's presurvey observation, there are differences in the quality of life of the elderly in the four domains, namely physical, psychological, social, and environmental domains of the elderly living in families living in nursing homes. The approach in this study is quantitative with comparative analysis. The population of this study is all the elderly living in Tresna Werdha Natar Nursing Home with 67 people and the elderly living in Gedong Meneng Village with 241 people. The sample of this study was 60 elderly people selected with purposive sampling techniques consisting of 30 elderly people living in Tresna Werdha Natar Nursing Home and 30 elderly people living in the Gedong Meneng Village family. Data analysis uses independent t-test samples. The data collection techniques for this study were through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Statistical test results using independent t-test samples show that there is a difference in the general quality of life of the elderly living in Gedong Meneng Village and the elderly living in the Tresna Werdha Natar nursing home (p-value = 0.000). There are differences in the quality of life of the elderly in terms of physical aspect (p-value = 0.002), psychological aspect (p-value = 0.000), environmental aspect (0,000), but no difference in social aspect (p-value = 0.859). The results of this study can be inferred that there is a difference in v the quality of life of the elderly between the elderly and the elderly living in the nursing home where the overall quality of life of the elderly living in the family is higher than that of the elderly living in the nursing home. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that it can be input for related parties to always improve performance and provide comprehensive services to the elderly where they live especially in the physical and psychological health of the elderly.
