Abstract

ABSTRAK UPAYA GURU PAI DALAM MEMBINA SIKAP TOLERANSI ANTARA PESERTA DIDIK MINORITAS NON MUSLIM DI SMP SATYA DHARMA SUDJANA GUNUNG MADU LAMPUNG TENGAH oleh : FARIDA KHAIRIYAH NPM. 1511010265 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya Guru PAI dalam membina sikap toleransi antara peserta didik minoritas non muslim di SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana Lampung Tengah. Toleransi adalah sikap tenggang rasa, menghargai, membiarkan, atau membolehkan orang lain untuk berpendapat atau berpendirian yang berbeda dengan dirinya. Sedangkan toleransi beragama mempunyai arti sikap lapang dada seseorang untuk menghormati dan membiarkan pemeluk agama untuk melaksanakan ibadah mereka menurut ajaran dan ketentuan agama masing-masing yang diyakini tanpa ada yang mengganggu atau memaksakan baik dari orang lain maupun dari keluarganya sekalipun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian lapangan (Field research) yang bersifat deskriptif analisis dengan metode pengumpulan data wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya yang dilakukan untuk menerapkan nilai-nilai toleransi beragama pada peserta didik melingkupi dua tahap yaitu melalui pembinaan sikap toleransi di dalam kelas, dan pembinaan sikap toleransi beragama diluar kelas. Penerapan nilai-nilai toleransi beragama di SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana menghasilkan sikap menghormati hak umat beragama dan mengakui keberadaan agama-agama dalam mengkhayati serta menuaikan tradisi keagamaan masing- masing diantara guru, peserta didik, dan karyawan di SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana, menciptakan sikap solidaritas sosial atas kemanusiaan, saling mentolelir perbedaan paham keagamaan, serta mengupayakan agar tidak terjadi konversi agama yang terkesan di paksakan sehingga menciptakan lingkungan berbeda agama yang kondusif. iv Kata Kunci : Toleransi, Toleransi Beragama \ v ABSTRACT This research aimed at finding how the PAI teacher's efforts in fostering tolerance among the non-Moslem minority students at Satya Dharma Sudjana Middle School, Central Lampung. Tolerance means the attitude of open-mindedness, respecting, allowing, or permitting other people to have different opinion or stand from their own. While religious tolerance means a person’s open-minded attitude to respect and allow religious adherents to carry out their worship according to the teachings and provisions of their respective religions that are believed to be without anyone disturbing or forcing either from other people or the family though. The type of this research is a field research that is descriptive analysis with interview and documentation data collection methods. The results of this study showed that the efforts made to apply the values of the religious tolerance for students cover two stages, namely through fostering tolerance in the classroom, and fostering religious tolerance outside the classroom. The practice of the values of the religious tolerance at Satya Dharma Sudjana Middle School results the attitude of respecting the rights of the religious adherents and acknowledging the existence of religions in living and carrying out their respective religious traditions among the teachers, the students, and the employees at Satya Dharma Sudjana Middle School, creating the attitude of the social solidarity towards the humanity, tolerant of differences in religious understanding each other, and trying to prevent religious conversions that seemed forced therefore creating a conducive environment of different religions.
