Abstract

ABSTRAK Hubungan Body Image Dengan Kepercayaan Diri Pada Korban Body Shaming Oleh: Silvia Aulia Hamid Perubahan yang terjadi pada masa remaja adalah terkait dengan perubahan biologis maupun perubahan psikologis, pada masa remaja juga memiliki bagian perkembangan salah satunya menerima keadaan tubuh dengan rasa percaya diri, tetapi nyatanya hanya sedikit remaja yang mempunyai rasa percaya diri akan bentuk tubuh, wajah dan warna kulit, pada usia remaja mereka berfikir bahwasannya dalam berinteraksi sosial daya tarik fisik sangat berperan penting dalam berinteraksi sosial dengan dunia nyata maupun pada media sosial. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah masyarakat Pekon Sinar Banten dengan jumlah 215 remaja. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan yaitu sampel purposive sampling dan yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 60 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala psikologi meliputi skala body image dan skala kepercayaan diri. Skala kepercayaan diri berjumlah 32 aitem (α=0.905), pada skala body image berjumlah 25 aitem (α=0.883). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis korelasi pearson product moment yang dibantu dengan program SPSS versi 24. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan maka bisa disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara body image dengan kepercayaan diri pada remaja korban body shaming di Desa Sinar Banten dan data yang dianalisis menunjukkan hasil, korelasi R = 0,423 dan signifikansi p <0,001. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa sumbangan variabel body image terhadap variabel terikat sebesar 17,9%, sedangkan pengaruh variabel lain di luar penelitian sebesar 82,1%. Kata Kunci : Body image, kepercayaan diri, body shaming ABSTRACT Relationship between Body Image and Confidence in Victims of Body Shaming By : Silvia Aulia Hamid Changes that occur during adolescence are related to biological changes as well as psychological changes, during adolescence also has a developmental part, one of which is accepting the state of the body with confidence, but in fact only a few teenagers have confidence in their body shape, face and skin color. At the age of teenagers they think that in social interaction physical attractiveness plays an important role in social interaction with the real world and on social media. The population in this study is the Sinar Banten neighborhood with a total of 215 teenagers. The researcher used a quantitative research method with the sampling technique of purposive sampling and the sample in this study was 60 people. Data collection techniques in this study used a psychological scale including a body image scale and a self-confidence scale. The self-confidence scale is 32 items (α=0.905), on the body image there are 25 items (α=0.883). The analytical technique used is the Pearson product moment assisted by the SPSS version 24 program. The analyzed data showed the results, the correlation R = 0,423 and the significance of p <0.001. From the research results, it is known that the contribution of the body image variable to the dependent variable is 17,9%, while the influence of other variables outside the study is 82,1%.
