Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan penalaran merupakan kemampuan suatu orang dalam berfikir untuk mengambil kesimpulan berdasarkan premis matematika dan memiliki keyakinan akan kebenaranya dengan melihat hubunganya dengan premis tersebut. Kemampuan analitis matematis adalah suatu kemampuan berfikir logis untuk menjabarkan suatu permasalahan dengam melakukan identifikasi masalah dengan konsep yang diketahui sehingga mampu menyelesaikan dengan cepat dan tepat. Berdasarkan data yang dilihat dari hasil pra penelitian dan dari hasil wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran matematika yang bersangkutan bahwa masih rendahnya penalaran dan pemahaman dalam menganalisis soal di SMP N 2 Punggur maka peneliti ingin melalukan penelitian tentang “Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Means Ends Analysis (MEA) Terhadap Kemampuan Penalaran Dan Kemampuan Analitis Matematis Siswa Pada SPLDV”. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Quasi Experimental Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Punggur, teknik pengambilan sampelnya dengan Simple Random Sampling. Didapat sampelnya yaitu kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan perlakuan model pembelajaran MEA dan kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji MANOVA. Menurut hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Means Ends Analysis (MEA) terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan analitis matematis siswa pada SPLDV. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Means Ends Analysis (MEA), Kemampuan Penalaran, dan Kemampuan Analitis Matematis. iv ABSTRACT Reasoning is the ability of a person in thinking to draw conclusions based on mathematical premises and belief in their truth by looking at their relationship with these premises. Mathematical analytical ability is an ability to think logically to describe a problem by knowing a problem with known concepts so that it can solve quickly and precisely. Based on the data seen from the pre-research results and from interviews with the mathematics subject teacher concerned that reasoning and understanding are still low in analyzing the questions of SMP N 2 Punggur, the researcher wants to do research on "The Effect of the Learning Means Ends Analysis (MEA) Model on Reasoning Ability And Students' Mathematical Analytical Ability in SPLDV". This type of research is a Quasi Experimental Design. The populations in this study were all students of class VIII SMPN 2 Punggur, the sampling technique was Simple Random Sampling. The samples obtained were class VIII B as the experimental class with the MEA learning model treatment and class VIII C as the control class with the expository learning model. The analysis used in this study is the MANOVA test. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be found that there is an effect of the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model on the reasoning and analytical abilities of students in SPLDV.
