Abstract

ABSTRAK FORMULASI GEL DENGAN BAHAN DASAR EKSTRAK DAUN MANGKOKAN (Nothopanax scutellarium) UNTUK PENYEMBUHAN LUKA BAKAR Desna Rahmayanti Gel adalah sediaan bermassa lembek, berupa suspensi yang dibuat dari zarah kecil senyawa organik atau makromolekul senyawa organik, masing-masing terbungkus dan saling terserap oleh cairan. Kelebihan gel memberikan efek dingin pada kulit, nyaman di gunakan, lembab dan memiliki daya serap yang baik untuk kulit. Dalam penelitian ini membuat produk berupa gel dari bahan dasar daun mangkokan. Daun mangkokan memiliki kandungan senyawa flavonoid, alkaloid, saponin, polifenol, dan lemak. Gel daun mangkokan dibuat untuk penyembuhan luka bakar pada mencit. Sediaan gel dibuat kedalam tiga konsentrasi yaitu 5%, 10%, dan 15%. Gel yang telah dibuat di uji organoleptik dan uji fisik (pH, daya sebar, dan homogenitas) untuk mengetahui kualitas produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gel daun mangkokan terhadap luka bakar. Luka bakar adalah kerusakan yang disebabkan kontak dengan sumber panas seperti api, air panas, bahan kimia, listrik dan radiasi. Luka bakar pada mencit dilakukan uji coba pengobatan menggunakan gel daun mangkokan dan bioplacenton (sebagai kontrol positif). Hasil penelitian menunjukan perlakuan pengaplikasian menggunakan ekstrak daun mangkokan perubahan diameter luka mengecil perlahan-lahan. Pada konsentrasi 5%, dan 10% perubahan luka bakar mengecil 3,2 mm dan 1,3 mm, pada konsentasi gel 15% dan bioplacenton perubahan luka mengecil hingga 0 mm setelah pengujian selama 15 hari. Gel daun mangkokan dengan konsentrasi 15% mampu memberikan pengaruh yang sama dengan kontrol positif. Pengaruh bioplacenton dengan gel 15% memiliki kesetaraan efektifitas yang sama. Kunci : Gel, Daun Mangkokan (Nothopanax scutellarium), Luka Bakar. iii ABSTRACT THE GEL FORMULATION WITH BASIC INGREDIENTS OF MANGKOKAN LEAF EXTRACT ( Nothopanax scutellarium) FOR BURN HEALING Desna Rahmayanti Gel is a soft mass preparation, in the form of a suspension made of small particles of organic compounds or macromolecules of organic compounds, each of which is encased and mutually absorbed by a liquid. The advantages of the gel provide a cooling effect on the skin, comfortable to use, moist and have good absorption for the skin. In this research, the product is made in the form of a gel from the basic ingredients of the Mangkokan leaf. Mangkukan leaves contain flavonoid compounds, alkaloids, saponins, polyphenols, and fats. Mangkukan leaf gel is made for healing burns in mice. Gel preparations were made into three concentrations, namely 5%, 10%, and 15%. The gel that has been made is tested for organoleptic and physical tests (pH, spreadability, and homogeneity) to determine product quality. This study aims to determine the effect of the gel of the leaves of the bowl on burns. Burns are damage caused by contact with heat sources such as fire, hot water, chemicals, electricity and radiation. Burns in mice were tested for treatment using a bowl of leaf gel and bioplacenton (as a positive control). The results of the study showed that the application treatment using kukukan leaf extract changed the diameter of the wound to shrink slowly. At concentrations of 5% and 10%, the burn changes decreased to 3.2 mm and 1.3 mm, at 15% gel and bioplacenton concentrations, the wound changes were reduced to 0 mm after testing for 15 days. Mukukan leaf gel with a concentration of 15% was able to give the same effect as the positive control. The effect of bioplacenton with 15% gel has the same equivalence of effectiveness.
