Abstract

ABSTRAK Peran orangtua adalah faktor yang paling penting dalam mengembangkan kognitif anak ketika belajar pada masa pandemi covid-19. dimana diharuskan orangtua menjadi pendidik, motivator dan fasilitator untuk anak ketika proses pembelajaran dilakukan dirumah. setelah dilakukannya observasi dan wawancara dengan orangtua di TK Islam Bina Balita Way Halim Bandar Lampung ditemukan permasalah banyaknya orangtua yang tidak terlalu memperhatikan perkembangan kognitif anak dirumah saat terjadinya pandemi covid-19 sehingga anak hanya belajar saat pembelajaran berlangsung dengan guru tidak diasah orangtua dirumah.maka, dimasa pandemi covid-19 ini sangat dibutuhkan peran orangtua dalam mengembangkan kopgnitif anak. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah ―Bagaimana peran orang tua dalam menghadapi perkembangan kognitif anak pada masa covid-19?‖ Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran otangtua dalam melihat perkembangan kognitif anak pada masa covid-19. jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan penelitian orangtua dan anak. alat pengumpulan data yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan Hasil penelitian dapat penulis simpulkan adalah bahwasanya peran orang tua dalam melihat perkembangan kognitif di masa Covid-19 yaitu penulis mengambil 4 indikator perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini dan dilakukan analisis atau kesimpulan yang menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan kognitif anak di TK Bina Balita Way Halim Bandar Lampung Kelas A belum sepenuhnya berkembang secara optimal. Namun mereka tetap berusaha membimbing dan mendampingi anak ketika proses pembelajaran daring serta mendampingi anak ketika mengerjakan tugasnya Kata kunci : Peran Orangtua, Perkembangan Kognitif iiABSTRACT The role of parents is the most important factor in developing children's cognitive when studying during the COVID-19 pandemic. where parents are required to be educators, motivators and facilitators for children when the learning process is carried out at home. After conducting observations and interviews with parents at Bina Toddler Way Halim Islamic Kindergarten, Bandar Lampung, it was found that there were many parents who did not pay much attention to the cognitive development of children at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, so that children only learned while learning was taking place with teachers not being honed by parents at home. So, during this COVID- 19 pandemic, the role of parents is urgently needed in developing children's cognitive abilities. The formulation of the problem in this study is "What is the role of parents in dealing with children's cognitive development during the Covid-19 period?" The purpose of this study was to find out how the role of parents in dealing with children's cognitive development during the COVID-19 period. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with parent and child research. Data collection tools that the authors use in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the research, the writer can conclude that the role of parents in improving cognitive development during the Covid-19 period is that the author takes 4 indicators of early childhood cognitive development and an analysis or conclusion shows that the cognitive development of children in Bina Toddler Kindergarten Way Halim Bandar Lampung Class A is not yet fully developed optimally.
