Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING DAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN PAI di SMK YADIKA NATAR Oleh: Rekha Maulidia Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Eksperimen, dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan Problem Based Learning. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI di SMK Yadika Natar. Dengan sampel kelas XI AKL dan kelas XI TKJ sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI TKR sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Sampling Purposive. Untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis peseta didik dilakukan test dengan soal essay sebanyak 8 butir soal. Uji independent Sample t-test digunakan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan Problem Based Learning yang digunakan dalam kelas eksperimen dan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction yang digunakan dalam kelas Kontrol. Hasil analisis Pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI di SMK Yadika Natar diperoleh hasil Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 yang terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI di SMK Yadika Natar, diperoleh hasil Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran mana yang lebih efektif untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis antara model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan Problem Based Learning dilakukan uji U Mann-Whitneey diperoleh hasil Sig.(2- tailed) sebesar 0,948. Yang artinya tidak ada perbedaan antara kedua model tersebut. Namun walaupun tidak ada perbedaan kedua model tersebut tetapi dapat dilihat dari nilai yang diperoleh bahwa kedua model tersebut lebih unggul jika dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran yang dilakukan dikelas kontrol, dan dapat membuat peserta didik lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran dan peserta didik mendapatkan suatu pengalaman baru dalam pembelajaran. This research is a quantitative research with atype of research quasi- experimental, using the learning model of Discovery Learning and Problem Based Learning. The population in this study were all students of class XI at SMK Yadika Natar. With samples of class XI AKL and class XI TKJ as the experimental class and class XI TKR as the control class. The sampling technique used was thetechnique purposive sampling. To measure the students' critical thinking skills, a test with questions was conducted essay 8. The independent sample t-test was used to determine the differences in students' critical thinking skills using the Discovery Learning and Problem Based Learning models used in the experimental class and the learning model Direct Instruction used in the Control class. The results of the analysis of the influence of thelearning model Discovery Learning on the critical thinking skills of class XI students at Yadika Natar Vocational School obtained the results of Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 which contains the influence of Discovery Learning on students' critical thinking skills. The effect of Problem Based Learning on the critical thinking skills of class XI students at Yadika Natar Vocational School, obtained the results of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000, which means that there is an effect of Problem Based Learning on students' critical thinking skills. To find out which learning model is more effective for critical thinking skills between the learning models, the Discovery Learning and Problem Based Learning test was carried out U Mann-Whitneey with the Sig. (2-tailed) result of 0.948. Which means there is no difference between the two models. However, although there is no difference between the two models, it can be seen from the value obtained that both models are superior when compared to the learning model carried out in the control class, and can make students more active in learning and students get a new experience in learning.
